It is obvious that the Ukraine conflict is something more than "madman" Putin imagining that he is the Czar of Russia or Hitler's grandson. Labeling this observation as a "conspiracy theory" in no way diminishes its credibility. The use of wars as a political tool is a time-honored tradition in this country and many others. This coincidence of domestic problems and foreign distraction is no coincidence at all.
