I think you exaggerate on the ties to China and Russia, but the whole thing offers great potential of it exposing America's involvement in the Ukraine for the purpose of starting the proxy war against Russia.

It's then just a question on whether domestic politics will sacrifice America's foreign policy secrets.

America's war in Vietnam failed to be pursued to fruition on account of domestic politics getting in the way and saving us from it escalating to nuclear war. The similar circumstances should be noted on account of this war being a much more direct challenge to Russia and/or China.

We'll have to see how the discussion goes here, without either of us leading it to a discussion on Biden's foreign policy goals.
