I know you have been shown links to multiple republican lawmakers who have said they want to do everything from privatize those programs to sunsetting them, and even some have said they should be eliminated. Even if you don't personally support those things, why can't you acknowledge that those are things that republican lawmakers have said?

Social Security has been cut for decades. The basket of economic stats they use for COLA's is not the same as a few decades ago. Recipients would be getting more in monthly checks. The last two years the inflation rate was a lot higher than the COLA increases. Progs are the ones who make statements on Social Security, and when the time comes thy deeds will be done. What Rick Scott IS doing is proposing a way to keep SS and Medicare solvent! If something ISN'T done then we've got about ten years before we hit crisis mode! So ask yourself what Joe Biden is doing to fix things? A real leader would be invested in coming up with a solution instead of demonizing people for political gain.
