Biden finally acts on border crisis, showing he could've done something about it all along

Clearly it does if you think there are 10 million new undocumented aliens here.
Oh, they're here, Joey! They're bankrupting our cities and States. They're overwhelming our schools and our hospitals. They're leading a crime wave in cities across the country. Our border has been wide open for 3 plus years now and the Biden/Harris Administration have let in bad people that will be hurting American citizens. We're just seeing the tip of the iceberg as far as that's concerned. The worse is yet to come.

I know, it's probably much higher. 12-15 million new illegal aliens.
Do you have a link from a non-crazy source? According to the Pew Center, that number only increased by 800,000 between 2020 and 2021

You're the master of misleading statistics, Joey! Did you read the fine print on that Pew Research report?
They don't count anyone who's in the country asking for asylum as an illegal. What's the first thing that ALL of the illegals have been taught to say as soon as they turn themselves into Border Patrol? "I'm seeking asylum!" They can't even speak English but they've been taught how to say that!

Okay, currently, there are 2 million asylum seekers, many of whom came here before Biden took office. The backlog got worse because Trump and Human Reptile Steven Miller dismantled the system for processing asylum cases.

That doesn't show the numbers since Biden got rid of 42, Joey! That number is exploding at the moment. EVERYBODY coming across the border is claiming asylum because they know that will get them released into the country pending their case going to court years from now!

Couldn't really justify keeping Title 42 after Covid had subsided.

Give me numbers from a non-crazy source, and we can discuss, but the fact that you think there's a Mexican hiding under your bed isn't a basis for a rational discussion.

Yes, some people ARE abusing the asylum system. That just means we don't have adequate staffing to review cases and make determinations. That's mostly because Trump and Steven Miller thought that if they dismantled the asylum system and trick Mexico into keeping people there for hearing that would never happen, that would solve the problem.

It didn't. people figured out the loophole and Mexico told us to go **** ourselves.

Remain in Mexico wasn't a "trick" it was a border policy that worked. You know as well as I do that the illegals coming in have been told to say that they're seeking asylum because THAT is the "loophole" to the system! You say that and you're in. You get a plane ticket to the destination of your choice and a court date sometime in the distant future that you probably won't show up for. It's farce.

No, guy, the problem with the Stay In Mexico policy is that there was nothing in it for Mexico.

We didn't give them any aid, we didn't give them any incentive to house these people for years waiting for asylum hearings that never happened.

They might have gone along with it if there was a good-faith effort to process aslyum claims, but Convicted Felon and Human Reptile had no intention to do that.

Now, I am very familiar with the asylum system because my wife (a Chinese National) applied for it when she came here 8 years ago. (essentially, she belonged to a church the CCP didn't approve of). She has been waiting for 7 years to get her hearing on the issue until we just decided to chuck it and apply for a sponsorship through marriage.

what was in it for them is for trade to continue between our two countries,,

they need us more than we need them,,

Not really. Trade with Mexico is 1 Trillion a year. it's why for all his huffing and puffing about NATFA, the Orange Menace had to agree to most of the same thing. But he told you rubes he got a great deal and you bought it.

You guys have been singing the "Terrorist are coming over the border" song since 2002. yet not one terror attack in the US Has been carried out by a terrorist coming over the border. They've all been carried out by either people who came here on legit visas or Americans who were radicalized on line.

Again, that agreement was on the basis that if Mexico held on to these people, we would process their asylum claims in a timely manner. We didn't.

According to DHS, "Aliens whose claims are found meritorious by an immigration judge will be allowed to remain in the U.S. Those determined to be without valid claims will be removed from the U.S. to their country of nationality or citizenship."[13] By June 2019, over 12,000 migrants had been returned to Mexico under the policy.[7] By September 2019, 47,000 people had been returned;[14] and 57,000 by December 2019.[15] Human Rights First found that at least 636 of those returned were victims of violent crimes in Mexico, including kidnapping, rape, torture, and assault.[15] As of September 2019, fewer than 10,000 migrants in the program had their cases reviewed: 11 had been granted asylum; 5,085 cases were denied; and 4,471 cases were dismissed without being evaluated, often on procedural grounds. The asylum admission rate for the program, 0.1%, is dramatically lower than the 20% among other arriving immigrants.[14]

No, I'm just not willing to panic about "could be" and "might be" and "it's a possibility".

We all sat there and watched George W. Bush strip away a lot of our freedoms on largely irrational fears. Even people on your side have admitted he went too far, which is why Bush is being called a "RINO" by you guys.
