How dare anyone try to protect children.Nanny state
Glass houses, just sayin...That's right. The "Are you over 18 question is a waste of time. Who is going to answer "No".
The things you fools get you panties into a twist about is laughable. Talk about "picking up the peanuts while being trampled by the elephants".
How dare anyone try to protect children.
No parent knows how easy or difficult it will be to become a parent until they actually do it. It's easier to argue after the fact than before it.Barrett sad it was difficult for her to do her job as a parent. Maybe she shouldn't have become one.

The same government that issues every citizen a social security number, requires every adult male to register for selective service is creating a 'registry' of people using a privately owned and operated service? Say it ain't so.I can actually see the objection to requiring proof of age for this. It's like a registration process, sort of like guns. The government wants your ID and for you to be on a registration list. I'm pretty sure the right would be against a registration list for everyone who owns guns, and, you have to be a certain age to buy a gun, meaning that the government could require you to be in a registration data base whenever you buy guns or ammo. While it's a good idea to not let minors buy guns, like minors viewing porn, I don't think we want the government having a registration list of everyone viewing porn or buying a gun.

Yes, it does seem inevitable that one way or another the government is going to have you on list and know who you are and where you live. You are on ID lists, and even the post office knows pretty much where everyone lives. Even if you get a PO box, they supposedly know who and where you are from that registration, although you could lie about your real address when filling out an application for the PO box.The same government that issues every citizen a social security number, requires every adult male to register for selective service is creating a 'registry' of people using a privately owned and operated service? We took cigarettes out of vending machines for a reason. We require ID checks to purchase alcohol for a reason. And the solution is not a nanny state because it's "difficult" for you to keep your kid from looking at porn. Kids have been doing that forever.
They argued back when the Supreme Court tossed this before that it's up to the parents to monitor kids, not the state's.
As noted, some clamor for a nanny state.
We took cigarettes out of vending machines for a reason. We require ID checks to purchase alcohol for a reason.
We pass laws making it illegal to sell certain otherwise legal products to children for a reason. Now, we know that nothing is foolproof, and kids are always going to circumvent most restrictions, but the state has a legitimate purpose in making it more difficult for children to access this.
Find where I've been hysterical about them. I know what I've said, just so you know. You mean your hysteria over drags queens and trans people????
Which is as it should be. Did you ever stop to think that a big reason no child has been PHYSICALLY assaulted or attacked is because their parents were standing RIGHT BEHIND THEM?Children are banned from drag shows, where no child has ever been assaulted or attacked, but encouraged to go to church, Boy Scouts, and kids sports programs.
That's odd, given that our church took explicit steps to do precisely that. Obviously, you know nothing of my experience, yet attempt to paint me with a brush dipped in someone else's paint. Also obviously, you are doing so in an attempt to shut down an inconvenient argument you otherwise can't handle. You know you go off the handle about stuff that's not really the biggest worry for the nation. No drag queen or tranny has EVER been convicted in the USA of molesting a child, but 20% of all convicted pedophiles are members of the clergy, or child youth leaders.
You keep taking your kids to church, and do NOTHING to protect your kids from pedophiles there.
Cool. So anything purchased or consumed online should not require ID. From Alcohol to weed to firearms?
Seems fair. Lets go!
Why is it a big deal to prove you are legal age to see something that is legally for adults?
And they should. The state, however, can make it more difficult for kids to access, just like it does for other products that are legal for adults.Porn was never hard to get. Parents can install filters on their kids computers and phones.
Try parenting for once. How dare anyone try to protect children.
This will do nothing to stop kids from accessing porn.
Because it won't actually solve the issue.
We're not trying to "solve the issue", we're trying to protect children a little more from this stuff. Laws against speeding don't stop speeding, but we keep them, and they help keep most drivers at relatively the same speed.Because it won't actually solve the issue.
