Biden admin under fire after defense chief’s stay in hospital ICU kept hidden — even from White House

Actually, I posted the facts as reported by multiple news agencies.
You posted conjecture. There can be all sorts of reasons for silence, like not wanting geopolitical rivals to know of a weakness or the lack of trust in the actions of a supposedly loyal opposition.

Odd. Your entire post is one of conjecture absent facts.

You didn’t realize you contradicted your own argument?

True, as was yours. You don’t really know why there was silence on the matter, but why let any ambiguity go to waste, right? It’s obviously an impeachable offense!

I can see you’re embarrassed at refuting the argument you were hoping to make.

Now would be a good time to gin up a really inspired conspiracy theory.

SecDef Lloyd Austin Issues Statement on Secret Hospitalization; Does Not Explain Shocking Failure to Inform Biden or White House Staff, Congress or Pentagon Officials

Apparently, Lloyd Austin was in intensive care and nobody knew. Just a bunch of bumbling amateurs.

The pretend Biden presidency is just one long Hollywood movie car chase sequence with tires squealing, car parts flying off in the slipstream, cars running off the road and fishtailing into the guiderail.

Under fire from who?

Gee, whiz.

Move along. Nothing to see here. All matters could have been handled by the deputy who was on on vacation in the Caribbean.

What a laughable joke,

Austin’s deputy, Kathleen Hicks, is reported to be on vacation in Puerto Rico this week and did not return to Washington. The Pentagon claimed Hicks was able to manage the Pentagon from her vacation spot in the Caribbean.

Not a big problem. After all, those who needed to know were undoubtedly informed. There is no sense in further confusing Joe. He wouldn't be making any decisions anyway.

Apparently so!

On Thursday, while Austin was hospitalized, U.S. forces launched a rare airstrike in Baghdad, killing the leader of an Iranian-backed militia that the Pentagon said was plotting attacks against U.S. personnel there and in Syria. The incident prompted an outcry from Iraqi officials and raised questions about how long U.S. troops will be allowed to remain in the country.

Obviously, not. Those types of attacks are planned weeks in advance with coordination among alllies and fly over permissions with friendly neighboring nations
