Polls are meaningless as instant snapshots in time. They are, however, useful to indicate trends, and right now TRUMP! is trending up while Harris is trending down. It's just the way it is.

They mean more than polls taken over the phone. Answering a random phone call is easy. You can mess with a poll taker and have no blowback at all. You can answer one a certain way and another one completely differently, and no one cares. Putting your actual money on the line, however, is very different. Even a Harris supporter who honestly believes that TRUMP! is going to win will either put their money on TRUMP! or not bet at all, unless they just want to throw their money away for no good reason.
