And....a related note:

"We’re the country that built the Intercontinental Railroad," Barack Obama.

That's what the president of the United States flat-out said Thursday during what was supposed to be a photo op to sell his jobs plan next to an allegedly deteriorating highway bridge.

A railroad between continents? A railroad from, say, New York City all the way across the Atlantic to France? Now, THAT would be a bridge!

It's yet another humorous gaffe by the Harvard graduate, overlooked by most media for whatever reason. Like Obama saying Abraham-Come-Lately Lincoln was the founder of the Republican Party. Or Navy corpseman. Or the Austrian language. Fifty-seven states. The president of Canada. Etc.
New gaffe: Obama hails America's historic building of 'the Intercontinental Railroad' - latimes.com

He also referred to Europe as being a country. The man obviously does not know the difference between a country and a continent. Obama's purported superior intelligence is a myth created by his admirers in the MSM. Little by little the myth is dissipating and his true character is being exposed.

Who created Dubya's myth?

The media didn't portray Bush as being better than he actually was. In fact the media jumped on each and every one of Bush's blunders and misstatements in an attempt to portray Bush as being stupid. Both Obama's purported superior intelligence and Bush's purported stupidity are media-created myths. In the overall schemes, it is possible that Obama is more intelligent than Bush, but the difference between their intellectual capacities is nothing to write home about.

Obama is Exhibit A of someone far, far educated beyond their intelligence.
Common sense is what I get paid for and common sense is not so common these days.

If he is paired with Joe Biden as color commentator...this could rock!

I'd have Biden do the play by play

"Redskins ball on their own 25." (Actually it's on their opponents 25) "Shot gun snap to RGIII ... he's rolling right ... oh, just off the fingertips of Garcon (actually it was Santana Moss).

"An illadvised pass, Joe. A much better call would have been a quick toss to Morris off the left side, like what the Broncos ran with TD, with whom I sat down to lunch with last week and we had turkey club sandwiches with Anchor Steam Beer while watching the Giants win over Greenbay, which was a fascinating match up of wits between Rogers and Manning ....."
