A woman I went to high school with contacted me recently, asking questions about Florida real estate. She and her later husband bought a townhouse on the upper east side of Manhattan not quite 20 years ago. She loves Manhattan, but hates the way it's run. She's looking to sell her townhouse and move to Florida.

I love Manhattan, too, and visit when I can. But I'd never want to live there...
