Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Sunday said people need to give President Trump more empathy after Trump posted that he was “glad” former FBI Director Robert Mueller was dead.

“I think that given what has been done to President Trump and his family it is impossible for either of us to understand what he has been through,” Bessent said during a Sunday appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

These people are amazing. The will bend over backwards to make excuses for trump. Everyone with a brain knows trump is as low as a man can go. He can't show an once of empathy for anyone and enjoys to see others suffer. instead of showing empathy for the Mueller family, we are supposed show empathy for trump. That is laughable.... There is not doubt that Trump is a disgusting asshole but I didn't vote for him to be Mr. Nice guy. We've already had that and it wasn't working. Don was indicted and or prosecuted for crimes he committed. He was then afforded every opportunity, much, MUCH more than most (like having a judge he appointed preside over one of the cases), to defend himself.

What about what he did to the country? Trying to steal an election. Stealing classified docs. Lying about both. Making threats against people involved in his cases. Having his followers do the same. Trying to prosecute some of them on phony charges. His mob attacked Capital police officers and defaced the Capital building and he did nothing about it for hours.
