"The indictment of Trump by special counsel Jack Smith for his efforts to undermine the 2020 election, placed a sharper focus on Pence’s actions leading up to and on Jan. 6, including the revelation that he kept contemporaneous notes. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Pence showed no regrets or equivocations in the hours after Smith unveiled his indictment. He did not weigh in on what he thought the outcome of a trial would be. He also did not foreclose the possibility that he would appear as a witness. But he did let loose on Trump and his co-defendants, calling them “a group of crackpot lawyers that kept telling him what his itching ears wanted to hear.”

It seemed like just yesterday when the MAGA crowd was casting their vote to put Pence back in the White House -- not a single one of them was calling him a traitor, or "Judas Pence" - but all of a sudden...on Jan 6th....that same crowd wanted to hang him......How did this crowd not know beforehand that their VP was a traitor? Didn't Trump warn them? Matter of fact, how did Trump not know his VP was a "traitor" -- isn't he supposed to be smarter than that? Anyhoo..it got me to thinking, besides Trump, do any of you folks like anybody you nominated in the past for the GOP presidential ticket??

It seems Ronald Reagan is the only candidate that current Republicans don't actively hate -- but everyone else after him, it's like yall hate ALL OF THEM....why? Your party nominated them.....

Bush Sr......Yall hate him....call him a globalist, ex CIA Deep State boss...blah blah....
Bush Jr......yall pretend yall didn't even vote for him and claim he is actually a Democrat......but yall voted for him twice.....
McCain.....yall celebrated his death
Palin.....Yall use to say she was the second coming of Reagan....then.....nothing...she isn't even more popular than Kari Lake these days.....and she ain't won shit...
Romney......Went from voting for him in 2012; to outwardly hating him in 2013 and beyond....why? Because he lost to the black guy?
Paul Ryan....went from praising him as one of the "Young Guns" of the GOP to hating him now...even tho his tax cuts are the only thing Trump really got passed...

And now Mike Pence.........Question is....why should any of us trust any candidate yall nominate today won't be a candidate yall turn around and hate tomorrow? It's almost like hate is the point.....sad.....

If you'd just ask the great Jim Jordan, he could give you a list of superior R candidates. Democrats are still looking for one.

Shows the lack of loyalty and character in Trump

He was repeatedly told that Pence did not have the legal authority to overturn the election and told by Pence that he was unwilling to break the law in support of Trumps lies.

But still Trump went in front of his TRUMPmob and lied to tell them that Pence could overturn the states. Then, with a violent mob attacking the Capitol, he posted how Pence had let down the country.

Hang Mike Pence

Seeing as tho Biden has yall saying the most cry-baby whiney bitch things ever -- I must say, Biden is a pretty good candidate...

Obviously, he wasn't so hated that he wasn't able to run for president after being VP for 8 years...

Which also means that Obama wasn't so hated -- that his former VP wasn't able to run for president and win...

The only candidate that I can think of that was not very liked by a big enough piece of the Democratic voting base was Hillary.....which looking back, many are probably regretting it...

Why do you think Republican voters have such a hard time nominating "leaders"

I wont vote for any of them. Nor will i vote for the incestuous pedo rican.

the people that might be able to lead, don't
want the job.
They dont have a chance anyway. Both major parties want complete whack jobs. Even the lib party does.
Our voting block is a bunch of deranged assholes.

All of what you typed on those people about what Republican voters think....so do you!

You're mistaking "cry baby whiney bitch things" with what most constitution loving Americans would call a genuine concern for the survival of our country if it maintains its present course. Monkey see, monkey do Democrats all seem to have abandoned our constitution simultaneously. Dangerous times that only an R or an I could fix. MAGA

You dont see party leaders on the democrat side go from leadership to vilified by their own party like the rightwing does. That is because the GOP cesspool is a cult and not a political party. You try to inject any rational point and it steam rolls you with la la land conspiracy bullshit. I am not sure how these people breath for 24 hours straight with their limited brain power.

Republican voters want representation. Like a huge percentage of Progs who vote "D" no matter what, Republicans voters have a percentage who vote "R" no matter what. Only less of a percentage on their candidates. Progs just make things up like what you typed. It is not that sophisticated. Trump ran on issues and was stymied from some in his own party. He in affect had to make deals with people who are supposed to be on his side and then make deals with people on the other side.

Totally understandable how Trump was nominated in 2016, for the simple fact he was the only one willing to go off script, the GOP had read from the same script for years, right down to not being ciritical of the Iraq war. Trump went off script, and you can't blame people in 2016, they had no one else like this running for President and had not for decades, they finally had someone who was free of the dogma that all candidates before pledged to obey.

2020 was a different story.

There's a GREAT example of Republican leadership ... now there's a President everyone can admire ...
Nixon beat McGovern. Who admires Nixon?

I could vote for ANY of the GOP presidential candidates over ANY democrat.

Manchin comes the closest to an acceptable democrat, he had a great interview on CNBC this morning about the Fitch AA+ downgrade. He said he spoke with Fitch and understands what has to happen to fix the rating. The US needs to BALANCE THE BUDGET ASAP. In 6-years the US bond rating will take another downgrade if no action is taken. He wants a bi-partisan commission to start taking actions. His first action would be to remove the cap on SS. That would fix SS. A really great start.
