Sanders’s Record, Filings Show Benefits From Super PACs, Links to Wall Street Donors

WASHINGTON—In nearly every speech, Bernie Sanders reminds voters that he doesn’t have a super PAC, doesn’t want money from Wall Street and rejects establishment politics.

Yet the Vermont senator has benefited from at least $1.5 million in backing from super PACs and from political groups that don’t have to fully disclose their donors, according to filings with the Federal Election Commission.

As a member of Congress, he regularly attended retreats with Wall Street lobbyists and other donors, and as a candidate for the Senate, he benefited from money that indirectly came from them. Last year, he directly accepted about $55,000 in Wall Street contributions for his Democratic presidential campaign, FEC filings show.

-----------------------------------------

He is in the top 6% of wage earners.

How does he get so much money from Social Security when he makes over $170,000.00 a year in salary?

Both of these assholes are just that - assholes. Just remember that Bernie can't get ANY of his "promises " done. It will never happen. And that Bitch Hillary? She answers to Wall Street. Never forget that. But one thing is ALWAYS true in ANY society - money talks and bullshit walks. How the hell do you figure she has 8 times as many "super delegates" as the communist has? The rich and powerful in the communist democrat party know that she holds all the cards.

Everything that Sanders has proposed looks like it can work to me.

What specifically wont work in your opinion?

And please dont give some generic 'Socialism cant work' crap. There are many different kinds of socialism and some have worked and still work, such as Northern Europe.

What proposal has Sanders made that wont work?

Sanders is not a communist?

MY Gawd, no wonder you think his proposals cant work; you dont have a clue what they are!

What's he gonna do? Sign an executive order? If I'm not mistaken (and I'n not) he is not a King (as much as the left thinks he is) so please enlighten me - how the hell will he get by the 535 members of the United States Congress?

Which proposal are you talking about?

And yes, given the GOP Congresses history of rolling over for Democrats, he could get things through Congress.

So you are going to sit at your keyboard and tell me that you believe that Congress would pass a 90% tax rate!?!?! Give me a break.

And you are going to tell me that Congress will approve FREE College Education for anyone - and the tax increase? C'mon guy.

Congress is going to pass a communist single payer system? Uh-huh.....

Like I said, only liberal 18 year old clowns believe that he can do anything. Let's get real here, shall we?

The problem with Sanders' supporters is in him, they see a Che Gueverra (Robin Hood) character - and that's what he is - a comic book character.

For a guy who's made so much, he has almost nothing to show for it. And he wants to handle MY money?

Simple. When one IS wealthy and they then criticize other for being wealthy.
A child can understand this stuff.

you'r attacking Sanders because you are shocked he has the nerve to remain in the race vs Clinton.
You want the path cleared for her nomination and you are finding that road difficult.

Hey,yon do know that the ACA is designed to collapse into a single payer system over time? Just letting you know why there is political. haste to get rid of it despite insurance companies reluctance to help.

Sanders ideas lead to a strangled economy, it hurts job growth, investments, and undermines our economic competitiveness with foreign nations.

Of course none of his ideas will pass, not even a Democratic congress!!

However, his campaign shines a light on Hillary's political identity. Is she a leftist like Bernie, more of aCentrist like Bill, or is she an opportunist?

So far, she comes across like an opportunists! If she is, that could lead to problems for all of us if she becomes President.

rdean being an attack dog for a corporate/bought Democrat (Repub- lite)

Say it aint so.
That's ridiculous. Big business and large corporations are as American as Apple Pie. They employ millions of Americans.

The problem isn't those companies, it's the government. Republicans can be bought over Democrats at the rate of 10 to 1 if the Chinese/Russian/India funded US Chamber of commerce is any indication.

Government is supposed to protect the middle class from their excess. You can't expect them to "self regulate". They are businesses looking for any opportunity.

Government is supposed to protect the country from their destroying the environment and ignoring safety.

At the same time, Government is supposed to protect big business from hostile foreign governments and unfair businesses. When Obama takes another country to the World Trade Organization and wins, what does that mean? It means he's protecting jobs and American business, the same business that would screw us over without government intervention.

WTO hands Obama victory in U.S.-China steel case

President Obama Wins Another WTO Case Against Cheating China - Franklin County Democrats

Obama applauds WTO trade agreement

Do you see? Do you understand?

Bernie is trying to demonize business. He doesn't even know what too big to fail means. Ask him when a company becomes too big to fail or how do you break them up and he doesn't know. He said it needs to be studied. Something he's run on for over a year and he doesn't know? How can that be.

The thing is it's not about the size of the company, it's about the debt accrued. Even a relatively small company can do enormous damage if it's debt is not regulated. Can you understand why?

And to Bernie, breaking up the banks means making banks smaller. That's an answer a simpleton would give. The "smart" way to break up the banks is by what they do. Some banks make loans. Huge loans. Risky loans. Then there are banks where people keep their savings. Where banks protect those people's money. You don't see those types of banks fail. It's when the two are part of a single organization and they accrue too much debt and the banks lose people's money and savings.

But there is thoughtful and honest legislation what would protect us. Legislation that comes from the Government. Republicans don't care because they care more about the business than they care about people.

Senator Elizabeth Warren introduces Glass-Steagall bill to break up big banks

We can't be like Republicans who demonize everything and then come up with simpleton type solutions that of course, never work. We have to be better than that. Thoughtful. Look at the big picture. Know what's important.

We don't want to destroy business. We want to make sure it makes money, provides jobs, keeps the environment clean, follow safety and not fail.

Bernie admires Castro. Says he wants a revolution. He sounds dangerous.
