Bill Maher, while critical of what has become of the left, will always remain a liberal. If by some miracle, he did switch to the Republican party, he would fall into the RINO category and be a liability. He's just not as loony as his so-called liberal base.

Maher also voted for McCain in 2000 in the primary, and would have voted for him over Gore...Jon Stewart once said the same thing
