For my part, I have been trying to teach from the original Hebrew. This is not to change your mind about God, but to give insights into languages, ancient storytelling, and what people of faith believe over what you think they "really" believe.

People can hold on to their own atheist beliefs while learning interesting differences between ancient Hebrew and modern English. That is all I am providing.

Because, it’s free enterprise at its best. It’s heavily endowed by successful alumni association whose graduates are WEALTHIER thanks to a very good EDUCATION. I hope you’re not implying that wealth accumulated by hard work and good education is bad ? The better educated on average make significantly more then the uneducated . That’s a good thing in my book.

Any 12 year old can reason out the relevant parts of the ten commandments all on their own (and also reason out why the other parts are useless mythology).

That same 12 year old can then reason out a long list of good morals that don't appear in the ten commandments.

In what country? Not this one. That's not how people vote.

Nearly every line item of the actual Democrat platform (not the fake one spoonfed by the right wing noise machine to its audience) is supported by a majority of Americans. Many of these items poll over 60%.
