Zone1 Behavioral Sink and Suffering

The operative word there is "IF". What IF the Shintos are right, the world was created by Amaterasu Omikami, and in the afterlife, she wants to have a word with me about my Asian women fetish?

Um, not really. That kind of makes God come off like a Batman Villain. Like in that movie where The Joker has put bombs on two boats and given each boat the trigger to blow up the other boat? Make the wrong choice, and you are damned. But no one tells you what the right choice really is.

Okay.
I love my family.
I love my wife
I love my country.

Those are all tangible things that I know exist.

No, I just don't believe in him. What I hate/condemn are all you Ned Flanders types who want to impose your beliefs on the rest of us.

Well, first and foremost, our images of Hell have more to do with Dante and Milton than the Bible, which is rather vague on the subject.

If you strictly read the bible, very, very, very few people are going to get into heaven, regardless. So if you are going to end up going to Hell anyway, might as well enjoy yourself while you can. Frankly, all versions of the afterlife sound pretty boring.
there is no hell in the Old Testament or a devil

What may have been missed is that I wrote these were students who seem to like me (I don't pretend to know all). Remember, after our short (twinkling) conversation, the students didn't take up sulking--they returned to completing their lesson. This being the result, I'm guessing I already had the students' respect--and retained it--by standing by my priorities, and the school rules for that matter.

The point is my goal is not to be liked or respected. My goal is to present each lesson to the best of my ability, and I have to work incredibly hard to succeed with each simple lesson. I have no energy left to work at being liked or respected. I guess that is why I am amazed by the number of students who tell me I am their favorite, and the best of their substitute teachers. And all without me saying, "Sure, go and play your computer games instead"--which I know are not that good for them. That's how much I respect (yes, and even love) their tender, growing minds. Loving, respecting them is my priority, to the extent their love/respect for me is insignificant in how I do my job.
You need to be respected

Dying to self says otherwise.
Thats just a fact. Where is the Ego located in the brain? Freud invented these constructs Id ego and super ego to study the pathological behavior of his patients. He also created the unconscious because he saw people dont things they werent aware of why they did them.
Today we kniw that behavior comes from the interactions of the limbic system and prefrontal cortex

EGO is a hypothetical construct created by Freud that doenst exist

Freud was one of the most thoroughly deceived people in all of human history. He just did not understand that this world is surrounded by man invisible dimensions of space and time that are filled with other sentient and passionate life forms, [many of which do not like us humans].

On the plus side the most powerful extra-dimensional life forms are definitely on the side of us humans.

In 1943 Dr. George Ritchie had the near death experience that got Dr. Raymond Moody researching this phenomena. What Dr. Ritchie was shown fits perfectly with the invisible dimensions of space and time postulated by String Theory, that Stephen Hawking Ph. D. did not clearly explain to the world until the 1990's.

Freud wanted to blame every problem in his life on his parents and on others. It is so much easier to just admit that we did wrong we were going along with our "evil inclination" or ego.

b. His Guided Tour of the Earthbound Realm with Jesus

The following is the testimony of George Ritchie’s tour of the Earthbound Realm: Then Jesus begins to take Ritchie on a journey through various realms of the afterlife. They fly toward a large city on Earth where they notice a group of assembly-line workers at work. They witnesses the spirit of a woman trying desperately to grab a cigarette from the workers who were oblivious to her presence. This woman had died severely addicted to cigarettes and was now cut off from the one thing she desperately desired most.

Ritchie realizes how the spirits in these realms immediately know the thoughts of other spirits around them. This is the reason they tend to group together with other spirits. It is too threatening to be around others who knew and disagreed with their thoughts.

Jesus leads Ritchie to a house somewhere on Earth where he is shown the spirit of a young man following his living family members around and begging them for forgiveness. But the family members are completely unaware of his presence. Jesus tells Ritchie the young man committed suicide and is “chained to every consequence of his act.”

They then traveled to a bar somewhere on Earth which was filled with sailors drinking heavily. Spirits surrounded the sailors as they tried desperately, and in vain, to grasp the shot glasses to get a drink. Other spirits tried to control the sailors’ alcoholic behavior. Ritchie learns these are the spirits of people who died still having a severe alcoholic addiction which went beyond the physical. He is bewildered as he observes one of the sailors passing out causing the sailor’s protective aura surrounding him to crack open. When it does, it allows a spirit to scramble into the sailor’s unconscious body. This scene was repeated over and over.

e. His Observations of the Temple of Wisdom

The following is the testimony of George Ritchie’s Temple of Wisdom and Heavenly City Experience. They then travel to a completely different realm where some kind of enormous university is located. Spirits dressed as monks busily and happily engaged in some form of artistic behavior or research. An enormous library exists here where all the important books of the universe are assembled. Ritchie asks Jesus if this is heaven. These are the spirits of people who grew beyond selfish desires while on Earth; but, like the spirits in hell, these spirits cannot see Jesus either.

f. His Vision of the Heavenly City

Ritchie is then taken into outer space toward a distant city made of brilliant light – similar in description to the heavenly city in the Book of Revelation (see also Revelation 21:10-27.) This is the place where people go who have become like Jesus while on Earth – a place where love is the dominant focus of life. This is heaven he realizes; but he is not allowed to enter it. Instead, Jesus shows him the future of Earth and is told to return to his physical body. At this point, Ritchie is revived from death.

Or could ego be personified in fallen angelic beings who want to prove that we humans are unworthy of the time and effort of our Creator to reform us and and bring us to teshuvah?

b. What about the devil?

If you understand the ego, you will understand the concept of the devil. Satanic frequency is the LOW-RANGE frequency that surrounds us in our collective thinking. It is the opposite of the HIGH, INCOMPREHENSIBLE LOVING frequency of God. Please hear me out on something…be careful of the music you listen to, the movies or TV you watch, the gossip or negative speaking you participate in. All these things LOWER the soul’s vibration. Lower vibration brings depression, disillusionment, disease and despair. The lower our soul’s vibration falls, the more these dark things come upon us. Once you fall into LOWER vibration, immediately seek to amend it with LOVING, HIGHER VIBRATIONAL THOUGHT. It is like anything else, the more you put into something, that is what the end result will be.

There is a place called “the Death Shadowed Valley,” where some souls may choose to go to if they feel too afraid, guilty or shameful to approach heaven or God. This is an in-between place or dimension that separates souls from this world and the next. …And as I have discussed before … being caught in this type of situation is a very difficult process to endure and can cause problems for both the living and the dead. However each of us has the ability to call out to God or to Christ … and immediately … we will be taken home to heaven. Or we (the living) can pray and call out to God to send his angels to come and take others home. It is important for us to understand that we each send ourselves to the places our soul believes it most belongs. We do that now here on planet Earth. Those stuck in addiction, lust, bitterness and hate — these are the ones truly in hell. But the moment we choose love, we can get ourselves out. God never sends us anywhere we do not wish to stay. We have totally misunderstood the concept of hell on this planet.

When we use the term today we mean one who is all about himself in the extreme. Egocentric. There is no devil its an excuse when we screw up. The devil made me do it. No its us

Exactly.

The few mentions of "Satan" in the OT, he is called the "Accuser", or the "Adversary", and he works as God's agent.

Later theology makes him a ruler of a Hell.

This is the effect that Zoroastrianism had on Judaism, and later on Christianity and Islam.

This very excellent video covers a lot of it.

Like consciousness it is incorporated in the whole being. It's part of one's identity. One's inner self.

In Judaism, "dying to self" isn't about literal suicide (which is forbidden), but rather a spiritual concept of self-nullification (Bittul), surrendering your ego, pride, and selfish desires to draw closer to God, focusing on divine will, and embracing service (like the concept of korban or personal sacrifice), transforming your inner self to live a life aligned with God's path. It means prioritizing God's commandments and love for others over personal comfort, leading to spiritual growth, not annihilation.

Key Aspects of Dying to Self in Judaism:
  • Self-Nullification (Bittul): This is the core idea—nullifying the ego and self-centeredness to become a vessel for God's will, similar to how a sacrifice (korban) is given up.
  • Surrender of Ego: It involves letting go of pride, control, and selfish desires to align with God's plan, allowing divine presence to fill you.
  • Prioritizing God's Will: Choosing God's way, even when it's difficult, by focusing on loving God and others above self-interest.
  • Spiritual Transformation: It's about becoming a "new being" through repentance and obedience to Torah, finding true contentment and purpose in God, not self-fulfillment.
  • Service & Sacrifice: It's demonstrated through acts of mercy, selfless service (like the Chassidic concept of bitul b'yesh), and sacrificing worldly attachments for spiritual connection, echoing the idea of the Temple sacrifices.

What it's NOT:
  • Suicide: Judaism strongly forbids suicide, placing a high value on preserving life (Pikuach Nefesh).
  • Self-Hatred: It's not about hating your God-given self, but rather transforming your focus from self-centeredness to God-centeredness.

Incorporated is a good term. The brains is composed of 5 separate systems. ITs not a single organ. Thoughts actions and beliefs are created by an emotional message based on memory from the limbic system that goes to the prefrontal cortex which sets goals and actions.

I dont surrender to God I partner with God and he can take it or leave it.

I dont surrender to God I partner with God and he can take it or leave it.
There's power in surrendering one's self to God. Surely you don't believe you are God's equal, right?

We are over populated with illegal aliens for one. Other than that, America is below replacement numbers. Over population scares are lies.
