Beck takes down another Obama insider

WTF are you going on about now?

YOU conflated someone quoting an cross-cultural idiom used by Mao (McCain) with someone admiring Mao's communist philosophy (Dunn).

Don't be dense.

Except McCain wasn't my only example. You also seemed to miss this:

Barry Goldwater adviser Stephen Shadegg said that he always followed “the advice of Mao Tse-tung” in the campaigns he ran (Beck has implored Republicans to “get back to the conservative roots of Barry Goldwater.”)

So why is Glenn Beck wanting us to go back to the roots of someone who followed the advice of Mao Tae-Tung in the campaigns he ran? He must obviously be a communist no? :eusa_eh:

I see you ducked when the point sailed over your head.

McCarthy - with the power of the Government behind him. Murrow - with the power of the press.

Obama - with the power of the Government behind him. Beck - with the power of the press.

Which bit of that is difficult to comprehend?

*Slaps little puppy biting at her ankle. Bad puppy. Sit.*

That's such a vague and outrageous example. I could say the same of Dan Rather and George W Bush you hack. Seriously, if that's the best you can come up with, I suggest you just stop while you're far behind. Murrow and Beck are nothing alike. Beck is a hypocrite which I have proven, end of story.

Story? Fucking fairytale.... Who are you, Hans Christian Andersen?

Dear God. Are you even aware of the context in which Goldwater's campaign aid (do your research thoroughly before posting a talking point you read somewhere) used that? You just provided more support for the point that Dunn needs to go.

Story? Fucking fairtale.... Who are you, Hans Christian Andersen?

Nice duck and dodge there. I see you failed to address more of my points.

The way you compare Murrow to Beck you could compare any Journalist who is part of the other party against the party in power. You really are a hack if that's how you link Murrow and Beck.

People like Murrow would laugh in the face of people like Beck today. Did you ever see Murrow act the way Beck did? Murrow didn't have to. He didn't the dramatics. He had a little thing called facts and dignity. Two things of which that Beck sold to Fox News when he joined them.

You seem to be missing the point I'm trying to get across. In fact, you have seemed to miss all the points I have made.

Have you even bothered to read what Mao's philosophy is? Or do you just cry "OMG Communist!" because Mao's name is mentioned? Without using Glenn Beck or Wikipedia or anything such as that for a moment. Why don't you tell me what you find specifically wrong with Mao's philosophy.

After that, I have some followup questions for you.

You started it with your ridiculous comparison to McCarthy. Bad dog!

All I did was point out the obvious comparison. Beck has the power of the press so he's not like McCarthy - he's like Murrow.

Kid, I know a hell of a lot about Mao and communism. Given that YOU conflated Soviet and Chinese communism not too long ago, I would not try that shit if I were you.

Let's be clear, your point is to conflate - that's illogical. I don't address illogical points as they are irrelevant.

I love it! There you go attacking me and trying to state another fallacy! Perfect! Hey CG, where are you quoting from your lovely book of fallacies for Si Modo here?

I want to know what you find wrong about Mao's Philosophy. I want to know specific things you feel are wrong from The Little Red Book as it's known here in the U.S. or known as Quotations elsewhere. Please, do share with th erest of us. I'm dying to know. :)

All I did was point out the obvious comparison. Beck has the power of the press so he's not like McCarthy - he's like Murrow.

Both McCarthy and Beck accused practically anyone who they opposed to be Communists. Both made outlandish statements and played upon Patriotism as to attacking this issue. Remember McCarthy's famous question, "Are you now, or have you ever been…"

This is what Beck is doing. He's judging people based on their past such as in the past with Van Jones. Yet I highly doubt he'd want people to judge him based on his past as a alcoholic.

That was the comparison I was trying to draw. Mine actually has merit because it's backed up by a couple things called facts and common sense. Yours is just desperation.

I don't conflate shit, like you tried to do now and not too long ago. It's illogical. I don't address the illogical 'points' as they are irrelevant.

I find almost all from Chinese communism unpalatable, the fundamental philosophy is unplatable. Communism is inconsistent with our system - a constitutional republic.

As I said in another thread, if there are those who are passive about having this at the highest office, that's fine. I am not content with this. Sit back while others call it out. It matters not to me if the weak and passive stay out of my way; I actually prefer that.

There you go again. I ask for specifics, you give word games. I have never stated my opinion about Communism or Mao in general actually. However, I wanted you to point out specifically about Mao's Philosophy you found to be wrong. Did you even bother to look at what his philosophy was completely before deciding to go and say let's burn this woman at the stake?

I'm not being passive about this. I'm also not being passive when it comes to people talking about things they have no clue about.

Besides, when you talk about Communism, one can and as I've seen in the past make the case that taxes are communist. To be quite honest, there is not a great difference between Capitalism and Socialism/Communism.

Think of it like the carrot and stick.

Capitalism uses the carrot, Communism uses the stick. However, you are also wrong in this instance when you refer to it as "Communism." Mao's Philosophy is known as Maoism. It has it's differences from regular Communism. Do remember, China and Russia weren't huge fans of each other for a very long time. Still waiting for specifics, please don't make me bring up specifics and further make this worse for you avoiding my questions.

FFS, Dogbert. What part of irrelevant is confusing you? You're asking for specifics - I told you almost all which is more than that even deserves. How I view the specifics of communism is irrelevant to the fact that Dunn admires the political philosophy of Chinese communism. Irrelevance - you wear it well.

After your lack of logic and your deflection to the irrelevance, forgive me if I just laugh at how pathetic your input is at this point.

How you view Mao's Philosophy, not Communism is two different things. In fact, Communism is different from Maoism. Besides, YOU are the one who is saying she is an idiot. So I'm asking you to back up your points with justification. So while you say that your opinion about how you feel about it is would be irrelevant, you are making it relevant by stating it in this thread.

Remember Si Modo, you're the one who started personal attacks against me when I merely asked for an answer to my question.

McCarthy - government
Beck - press.

It doesn't make my comparison any less true. Your comparison is also one that is quite vague and doesn't take into account the personal statements being made.

Do you honestly think Beck is at Murrow's level? Yes or no?

Dogbert, pay attention. (1) Dunn said she admires Mao's political philosophy - that's Chinese communism. (2) I told you that I don't address the irrelevant and illogical. Your deflection to the irrelevant is illogical. How I view the specifics of that philosophy is irrelvant to the fact that Dunn admires that political philosophy..

As far as backing that up, DUNN is on tape, saying that she admires Mao's political philosophy, in public to a group.

And do you care to state which parts of his political philosophy you disagree with? That's all I been asking for.

And yes, if you say she's a idiot, be prepared to back up your points. That's how MBs work there. I figured you would know this by now on here.

And you naturally assume that I called her an idiot because she is a fan of Chinese communism? Wrong assumption, Dogbert. I don't think those who admire Chinese communism are idiots. I do think those who hold high positions in our government who think they can publicly swoon over that philosophy without ramifications are idiots. I do think those who hold such high office who concentrate on a news network, especially in context with significance to our lives, our national security, our economy, our diplomacy, etc. are idiots.

I know that those who are legislators, appointees, and/or at an executive level in our government have more power to legally mess with my freedom. I know that the press' power is speech. The two types of power are vastly different.
