Ban air conditioners in public places and offices

A friend spent a week in Los Angeles 2 weeks ago. He has been sick since. Blames it on the a/c where he was couped up.
Los Angeles streets are disease petri dishes. It wasn't the ac. It was generalized air quality. The human waste in the streets is baked by the sun and becomes fecal dust that is breathed in. Air conditioning at least has filters that take out some of the pathogens.

Air conditioners aren't the problem.
It's the lazy fuktards that refuse to keep the ac units and ductwork clean, in good working condition, and use the correct filters for the correct occassion.

As far as offices and public buildings go..........it's a case of filthy people spreading filth. Regardless of ac, heat, or breezes blowing through windows......you're gonna get sick if you have some pieces of shit coming to work sick and spewing their germs and/or diseases all over counters, desks, paperwork, vending machines, coffee pots, or just in the air in general.

Have you EVER been to a health class or biology class?????
I think not.

This leads to colds and infections with bad microflora, tuberculosis and so on. Creates a large load on the power grid. Who doesn't like the heat let them go back to Britain
Not only A/C's, but lets get rid of the wheel also. Looks what it's done to our environment.
Vehicles use them, machines use them, all have to use fossil fuels at some point.

/----/ "The human waste in the streets is baked by the sun and becomes fecal dust that is breathed in. "
A little history lesson. This was the issue in major cities like New York. Instead of human waste, it was horse manure all over the streets. The city picked up tons of it every day and had to dump it somewhere. That raised a smell and more fecal dust.

In the summer, the heat would dry it, the wind whipped up the dust and blew it all over the place, on people's clothes, on food vendors' carts, and into homes and offices.
That is why the NY Times hailed the invention of the automobile that eliminated the horses.

The Great Horse Manure Crisis of 1894 was in London.

Horse manure is not nearly as dangerous as what's in present day American streets. Those providing that waste are often diseased. There is rat feces, rotting garbage and even the odd decomposing corpse. Which is why air quality alerts tell people to stay indoors with the air conditioning on.

Why do liberals always have to be forced to do things they believe to be right? Last I checked there's nothing preventing liberal business owners to not use air conditioning/ heating.

You don't know how air conditioners work, do you? They actually filter the air. If you'd rather walk around in a fog of unfiltered recirculated breath mist, set that up in your house and let us know how it goes - if you can get anyone to visit.

Fascist much?

Private business providing government services? ... sometimes ... do you know what a fasces symbolizes? ... or why it was common in the United States up until WWII? ... there's one on the back of Mercury dimes ...

Run your A/C all your want to ... just don't say it's the environmentally right thing to do ... and don't sit in your goddam home running the A/C full blast complaining on the internet about climate change ... climate isn't changing, so burn tires ...

I don't think the filters on A/C units can screen out viruses ... cellular life maybe, but not viruses ... this is where we would use UVC curtains, not to filter out but rather kill the viruses ...

True, but I think cool, fresh, filtered air is healthier than stale uncirculated funk.
