I saw him play for Southampton youth against Wrexham youth when he was 16. He was playing at left back then, He still controlled the game from there. I think Theo Walcott was also playing.

Well, I'm up here so I've been to the odd Man U match over the years, because my mate is a season ticket holder. I never bother with lower division teams, I just go to Man U for a pre-match Chinese meal and a couple of beers.

With being in Spain awhile, Bale was bound to pick the lingo up. Apparently, Spanish is supposed easier to grasp compared to French etc..
