Bakers fined for not working homosexual "wedding" continue fighting for their freedoms

So...again...why do these bakers deserve special rights that no one else with an Oregon business license gets?

Why doesn't any other business in Oregon get to say...I object to weddings between Jews and Christians so they can take their business elsewhere
Because religion is protected under the constitution and ass-sex isn't. There's actual wording protecting religions. There's only a false interpretation by the Court that "gays are a class". The 7th circuit however just said "no they aren't when it comes to the Civil Rights Act" in Hively v Ivy Tech. Minority behaviors not specified in the Constitution, like religion is, cannot gain special protection from the majority rule.

You're going to find this out soon in the various cases making their way Up. But for now, you can take my word for it. Ginsburg will either die or be retired and the next appointment approved by Congress will have to be conservative for sure, to replace that vacuum left by Scalia. If the Congress has a senate majority which is republican, it will be two conservative or middle conservative and a conservative. Enjoy your "victory" in Obergefell while you can.., the case that bothered Scalia more than any other before he was found dead with a pillow over his head.

Jesus... do you lie awake at night dreaming up this drivel?

Shitflinger?

Nah, he gets it off the Soros hate sites..

Remember, democrats are more like cockroaches than people. They are a nest with a single, central intelligence that controls the drones.

Soros?

What happened to Alinsky and Bill Ayers?

You need to get your story straight

Every right except the freedom to decide who they will work for, eh?
When they opened a public business they themselves decided to work for the public. End of story.

Nope....the Constitution says it isn't the end of the story...the Constitution says they have freedom to practice their religion without interference by the government....and taking their livelyhood if they try to practice their religion is against the law.......
When baking wedding cakes is what churches do you let us all know? Until then it's a business open to the public, all of the public.
What kind of wedding cakes?
Butt ******* wedding cakes

Why are you ordering 'butt ******* wedding cakes'?

So...again...why do these bakers deserve special rights that no one else with an Oregon business license gets?

Because religion is protected under the constitution and ass-sex isn't..

If you want to order a cake showing someone getting ass fucked, any baker can refuse to make that cake.

But a baker can't refuse to sell a cake to someone because they claim their religion forbids them to sell to blacks, or Jews, or Catholics, or Mormons, or women, and in some states- because they are gay, or veterans, or handicapped....

So a town has two hotels

One has a renowned wedding facility, excellent chefs, first rate accommodations and a beautiful view of the water at sunset

The other is on the interstate and is next to a truck stop

No harm as long as another hotel is available. What is wrong with a gay couple expecting the best for their wedding? Why should they have to settle for less?

Why would they want to be served by people that detest their way of life?

and I had my wedding 5 towns over from where I live, it's called cars.

Why have a wedding next to a truck stop? Why not expect the best
We saw the accommodations offered to blacks as an alternative. Outhouses instead of flush toilets. Water pump instead of running water. Eating in back of a kitchen instead of the dining room

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone

Considering gays have a sizable presence in the wedding industry, your analogy about 2nd class services fails on its merit.

You are the one going all argumentum ad abusrdum, not me. You are the one going all or nothing.

You are the one that feels the need to force your views on others using the government gun barrel.

Gays may have a sizeable presence in our major cities

But in rural Jesusland, they are still outcasts. It is easy for any ***-hater to invoke the bible as an excuse for not serving gays while they have no reservations about participating in a wedding of a pregnant bride marrying her cousin.

History is full of people not happy with their present situation moving. Its only in modern times that moving is considered something for the well off, instead of the destitute or unhappy trying to make a new life for themselves. It's actually what made the US what it is today.

and do you think forcing a baker to bake a cake for their wedding, or forcing a photographer to film their wedding is going to magically remove that animosity.

No, all it does is satisfy your need for vengeance on people you don't like, and it lets you accomplish it without getting your hands dirty.

"Oh, not "I" didn't do anything, GOVERNMENT did it"

Thankfully, our country does not require you to "move" if you are being discriminated against

Our laws stand up for those being oppressed, not the oppressor

Seems our fascist friends here want to make them do that......

Yep- we fascists believe a business should follow the law.

We 'fascists' also don't think that Christians get a special dispensation from following the law.

Anyone here been to a wedding where the cake baker is part of the wedding ceremony?

No I haven't.

I'm a photographer. I have worked weddings.

My job is to take photos and not be seen.

The couple getting married can be opposite sex, the same sex, they can be green, pink or purple. I'm there to do a job. Not judge who I'm doing that job for. Their money is the same green color as everyone else's and it pays my bills just the same.

I'm performing a service. I don't participate in the wedding. Neither does a baker. They bake. They don't perform or participate in weddings.

Anyone who claims that they do is lying.

Which is great news for Kim Davis and the Kleins. These orchestrated "discrimination witch hunts" dramatized by the church of LGBT are going to come to an end. You might even see Christians descending on gay businesses asking them to perform heresies that the Church of LGBT strictly forbids... Then we'll hear quite a lot about "the right to refuse service" won't we?

Oh, I imagine that if a homosexual graphic designer wanted the right to refuse to make a highway billboard sign for a major interstate that says "Homosexuality is a sin unto God", he'd have that right in a nanosecond.

Why would he have that 'right'?

Why would they want to be served by people that detest their way of life?

Being discriminated against is oppression

Gays have been oppressed for centuries. They should know

I despise the term "homophobic"...it is so benign and hides the degree of hate behind it
There is no better description of the bible thumping bigots than "***-hater"

Give his church of LGBT a

You are obsessive in you hatred of homosexuals. Starting thread after thread calling for discrimination against homosexuals, calling for laws that would harm their children, and filling USMB with your lies and delusions- all to attack homosexuals.

That is your passion- trying to foment hate against homosexuals.

Ah, but the Bible's New Testament Jude 1 prescribes it's a mortal sin to merely promote or aid and abet that type of behavior infiltrating a society as a new norm. So, it's more than that. But you already knew that.. You are deceitful as well as in the wrong legally.

But you'll find all this out soon enough.

BTW, are you aware the Brown (polygamy) family just got their brief in to Justice Sotomayor for review? They're looking to cite Obergefell eventually to gain legal marriage in all 50 states. And you assured the world that Obergefell wouldn't mean the slippery slope. Did I mention you folks are willfully deceitful?

No more or less than your passion to foment hate against Christians. I guess it's like Rachael Maddow chanted for months and months on her show. "This is a culture war". And indeed it is. May the best culture win!

So...get those "fucked up laws" repealed. Get to it. Chop! Chop!

I'm working on it. You always say that like you think I'm not - like you think you're making some clever point. But I'm not quite sure what it is. Are you suggesting I'm being hypocritical or something? I really don't get your angle here.
She's just wasting your time as she whines about her right to make you accept her dysfunctional lifestyle.
You don't have to accept jackshit, you have to obey the law. The same as everyone else.
There is no law that overcomes my liberties to practice my religion and seek to fulfill my own happiness in this country no matter how hard you attempt to twist them. If running my own business and practicing my religion offends you too bad.

So Joe Smith's religion calls for human sacrifice. That's what makes him happy in this country. Guess that's okay with you because his religion calls for it, right?
You are showing what an idiot you are. Someone else hurting your feelings over their disgust with your habits is not comparable. The only death involved is a spiritual one which you bring onto yourself.

Actually, ass sex is protected
Protected under a citizens right to privacy

Great country isn't it? A country with no right to concern itself with what goes on in the privacy of your bedroom

They are citing that bans on polygamous marriage violate their right to privacy and their religious freedoms. Why are you not supporting their religious freedoms to marry as many people as they wish? It's rather clear you only care about religious freedoms when they can used against gay people. I guess the Brown family needs to find some anti-gay avenue if they wish to have your support.

It used to be, before you anti-liberty leftist revoked the Bill of Rights
