I've started exactly two threads about police officers since I joined this forum. The first one was about an officer who purchased eggs for a woman who was trying to steal them to feed her family, so GFY.

I might say I hope you're right if you would tell me who you think will be elected. But the slight possibility you might say Chris Christie, who is as bad as Trump but in a different way, puts me off.

Who is your choice, and why? My choice is Bernie Sanders -- because I am a socialist and I believe a socialist influence is desperately needed to restore power to the middle class. I don't expect Sanders to win because the electorate majority is either too brainwashed or too stupid, or both, to understand the importance.

Some will vote for Trump because he is pro-gun. Some will vote for Trump because of his implicit racist posture. Some will vote for Trump because he talks tough -- ignoring the fact that he does so because he is a guarded One Percenter who has utter contempt for anyone who cannot compete with his wealth.

Trump doesn't have you fooled because you're intelligent. How I wish I could say the same for the rest of the electorate.

You have seen the evidence. It is so utterly damning that if you don't believe it it's because you'd rather not. But you may rest assured the testimony of some (if not all) of the other cops who were present and witnessed vanDyke's action will support the video evidence.

A number of those cops have submitted reports which already have been determined by Internal Affairs investigators to be sufficiently fictional as to bring about not only termination but prosecution. And while most cops are conditioned by tradition to almost instinctively lie to protect another, when the level of pressure applied exceeds their union's ability to protect them from shared consequences the typical change in attitude and posture is dramatic. See the movie, Prince of The City, for one vivid (and actual) example.

But as the Nation developed socially and economically the emergence of the Industrial Age brought about what is best described as a corporatocracy in which a small number of scheming industrialists, Morgan, Rockefeller, Carnegie and a few others, managed to hoard more than 90% of the wealth acquired by exploiting the growing Nation's natural and human resources. This took place while the ordinary working-class, the actual producers of the wealth, scraped by on meager wages, many living on the edges of poverty.

What transformed this Nation was the emergence of the Great American Middle Class, which came about by the socialist revolution known as the Union Movement.

Today we are witnessing the gradual reversal of the socialist revolution in America. Once again the wealth resources of our Nation are being hoarded by a small number of individuals, the multi-billionaire class, while the consequent imbalance has our national economy perched on the edge of a massive collapse. And you may rest assured that collapse will happen without a substantial redistribution of our wealth resources, which cannot happen unless those socialist regulations which controlled the performance of our capitalist economy through the most productive decades in our history, the '40s through to the '80s, are restored.

Trump won't do that. He will do the opposite. Expecting something different from Trump is like expecting cats to behave affectionately toward mice.
