I wonder if Michele Bachmann realizes that if she were to be elected president (ha ha, I know)
she has to take the oath of office, and that oath is a promise to her God to protect and defend the Constitution, which,

at this point in time, guarantees a woman the right to an abortion.

Ok... I think I see where her problem with porn lies, and I bolded it. The problem is....porn isn't necessarily the crux of the problem. Let me ask you Citizen Pained... Have you watched regular TV lately? have you viewed programs like Jersey Shore and all those "pseudo-reality" Television programs? They have 100X the impact on young people than porn does.

I am not necessarily pro-porn... don't get me wrong. But there's a heck of a lot more going on besides porn that affects kids sexual mores, and most of it is accessible with a remote control.

Well...I'm pro porn (go porn!!!) and I would have to agree with you that there are far more harmful things out there than kids seeing two people *******.

I recall an episode of ER many years ago in which a patient was suffering from Priapism. In this episode, the actors could not say the word "masturbation", but the episode did show a man put a gun in his mouth and blow his brains out....Showed pretty much the whole thing, but they couldn't SAY masturbation.

however, you are correct. Violence is an everyday part of our lives too and it has been all along. It's only the leftover puritan laws that have sex as a general taboo anymore. in Europe(where all the puritans fled from), they have no such restraints. Is that good, bad, or indifferent? I don't know.

Europeans seem to be a little less addictive in their pleasures than we are. You see people drink everyday... but you only occasionally see a drunk asshole picking fights. You see sex everywhere. Sex shops, legal prostitution, etc.... but is it a problem? In some countries Marijuana and Hashish are legal... but it's really no big deal.

All of that stuff(sans alcohol) is taboo here and even alcohol is frowned upon. Yet, we crave it as a society.... and what we crave, we find a way to get. The only difference is... doing it in secret becomes addictive behavior... because it's not just the ACT of doing it... it's the "thrill" of doing something that you don't want to get caught doing. That thrill, combined with the act... releases endorphins in your brain. Eventually, your life goes out of control trying to keep that thrill(and those endorphins) moving in your system.

Bringing stuff out in the open and into the daylight is a much better methodology than trying to hide it further under the covers.

Bachmann has compared homosexualtiy as "the same bondage as slavery".
Her husband has recently been proven a fraud and a liar as he stated his clinics do not teach reparative therapy to gays and a recent undercover tape shows it does.
Bachmann will die a slow death but it will be more painfull to the current conservative movement in the party that wants no part of her and her bigoted history.

Unlike some people..I don't entirely dismiss people because of one bad attribute. Some examples would include Pat Buchanan or William Buckley..both of whom are and were bigots. But those guys are and were pretty smart and were good with analysis. They live and lived in the real world. That said..I wouldn't vote for either one of those guys.

Bachmann and Duke are cut from the same cloth. They have no redeeming qualities. None.

The term moonbat comes from Little Green Footballs. If you take a few minutes to peruse their site you will see that they are just as apt to attack the far right as the far left. In fact I would recommend you read the site just because they go after extremism on both sides of the aisle. I think most people would enjoy it, and everyone can learn a bit from it. Here is a link to all their stories about Bachman. I haven't seen any that actually favor her, a few are nuetral because they just report facts, but most of them actually hold her up to the same ridicule you do.
