Harrison had apologized on Wednesday after speaking out on behalf of Rachael Kirkconnell, a contestant who was reportedly photographed at an antebellum plantation-themed fraternity formal in 2018.
In Saturday's post, Harrison wrote that he was "deeply remorseful" for the pain and damage his "ignorance" had brought to his "friends, colleagues and strangers alike."

"To the Black community, to the BIPOC community: I am so sorry. My words were harmful. I am listening, and I truly apologize for my ignorance and any pain it caused you," Harrison wrote.
"I want to give my heartfelt thanks to the people from these communities who I've had enlightening conversations with over the past few days, and I am so grateful to those who have reached out to help me on my path to anti-racism."
Kirkconnell, in an Instagram post Thursday night, wrote that "her ignorance was racist" and that she "didn't recognize how offensive and racist my actions were, but that doesn't excuse them."
She apologized to the communities and individuals her actions harmed and offended, and wrote that she is "ashamed about my lack of education."

Comment: No doubt we will hear the mewling from the usual suspects about "Cancel Culture" and Political Correctness... but man, this guy was tone deaf, wasn't he?

The discussion we won't have. Why something as absolutely as tacky as the Bachelor is on the air to start with.
This shit makes democrats look sooo bad. I LOVE these leftist-woke-gone-wrong stories! Im surprised to see you spreading the word, but i do appreciate it immensly.

False conflation. Antebellum and the Nazis? WTF?!

You really need to be banned for your dishonesty. Hopefully the mods are watching. See how you like cancel culture?
Antebellum society was based on the forced labor of black Americans as slaves, including widespread rape, torture, and violation of human rights. They were just as bad as the Nazis. If black people ran Hollywood, we'd never fucking hear the end of how awful they were.
Just as bad? So Lady Antebellum was or is a group. No one ever called them Nazis. I ve never even heard of them til recently so perhaps the young girls didn’t either? You are a fucking moron, Joe. Everything is Nazi with you. You already admitted you hate Jews. Maybe you are more Nazi than you care to admit? All Harrison said was “a little grace “....oh no! Moron.

Hey, buddy, tell you what. My grandparents left Germany to get away from the Nazis.

I had one Great Uncle who was a Mitlaufer- someone who joined the NSDAP to keep his cushy government job. His son died in the war. Another cousin was a Catholic Priest who was sent to Nordhausen for criticizing the Nazis. My Dad was in the US Army VII Corps at Normandy and the Bulge. Had nightmares for the rest of his life.

The difference between the Nazis and the Confederacy is that the Nazis had 80 years after the war with Hollywood never letting us forget the awful shit they did. Heck, even the character I use as an AVI, the Nazis were the go-to villains in half of his movies. The Confederacy on the other hand, had 80 years of the "Lost Cause" mythology, Movies like "Birth of a Nation" and "Gone with the Wind", where the Confederacy were portrayed as noble heroes.

Yes, you as a Jew should be offended by a Third Reich themed party, and I'd be right there with you objecting. Where we'd have a disagreement is that what the Nazis did excuses what the Zionists do to the Palestinians.

Conversely, black people should be offended by Plantation Parties. The plantations were not romantic themed places for blacks, they were places where they were cruelly exploited for their labor and systematically terrorized into compliance.

Hey buddy you didn’t address my point. Lady Antebellum....never offensive until you pussy woke Crowd became easily offended. Your conflation is false. If you compare Nazis and Antebellum again you will look even dumber than you usually do. So if you’re not going to address my points don’t respond. You’re wasting time. Got it? Fat ass.

No you did not. Again when did the group Lady Antebellum become “offensive”? A group called Lady Third Reich would always be offensive. So your conflation is false. Should we bring in a mod to oversee this so that you don’t pussy out?

Okay. They became offensive when we started having a discussion about Confederate flags and statues and other glorifications of slavery that were inappropriate.

(Incidentally, there probably is a band out there called Third Reich)

False conflation. We are discussing Lady Antebellum. So the young lady on the bachelor attended the party when? Can’t just pick and choose what is and isn’t offensive. All Harrison said was to show her a little grace when social media pricks like you with no life attacked her. And now “a little grace” is offensive. Pretty sad. Guess women’s rights don’t matter.

Want to tattle here Joe? I ll gladly bring more mods into this. I have Zero to hide. Your conflation was false and your argument is flawed.

Uh, she's a publicity whore going on a tacky game show trying to get a guy she never met before to propose to her. I'm not sure how much grace she merited even before we realized she lacked the sense to not go to racist themed parties.

Frankly, we are long overdue for the discussion about the Confederacy that we should have had 150 years ago.

The thing about the Nazis is that we made it REALLY CLEAR to the defeated Germans that what the Nazis did was wrong. We put the Nazi who survived on trial, we tore down all their monuments, we made Germany pay reparations and we didn't let them have their country back for 10 years. So, um, yeah, in Germany today, if you walk down the street with a Swastika Flag, you are going to be in a lot of trouble.

The problem with the Confederacy is that we almost immediately let them start rehabilitating themselves. Then they put up the statues, and the statues were put up to show the blacks who was in charge around here.

You’re deflecting. Is your statement that Lady Antebellum is as offensive as the Nazis? Yes or no?
Really quite simple. Don’t need your long diatribe. Just a one word answer.

Not playing your game, buddy. I've explained at length why glorifying the Confederacy is offensive.

If Spike Lee had the influence Spielberg has, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Nope. You didn’t. There was a group called Lady Antebellum. Didn’t see them as Nazis. No one did. You compared antebellum to the Nazis not I. So you admit it was a false conflation and you’re a moron. Thank you.

Wow... your reasoning skills are... horrifying.

Glorifying the Nazis is bad.
Glorifying the Confederacy was bad.

Lady Antebellum actually changed the name of their band... Even they knew they were in the wrong.

They changed because of leftist pressure same with the Dixie Chicks. Cancel culture 101. But until most recently they were never called Nazis. You conflated Lady Antebellum with the Nazis. That makes you a moron. No matter how many times you cry to the mods.

Actually, the Dixie Chicks changed their name because their fans didn't like them anymore after they called Bush a moron. History kind of proved them right.

Then you guys put an even bigger moron in the White House.

Yes, the Confederacy and the Nazis were the same thing. Except the Nazis were more competent.

You guys meaning voters? Antebellum is the period before the Civil War so what Confederacy? So now you called Nazis competent? Hmmmm....interesting. You just love burying that hole of dumbassery for yourself. Want to rat me out to the mods again or should I link them now and make it easier on you?

One wonders what would happen, for example, to a politician who had supported illegal invasions and wars?
Pretty much. But it's like how BLM doesn't care about current slavery (like in Libya) but will moan about the "legacy" of slavery here.

Some person going to an antebellum themed event is a trivial matter. But ever since the rise of social media, people have become race-obsessed and have to virtue signal at every opportunity.

Better not say the wrong thing! Lefties will come after your job.
Or righties will. Just ask the Dixie Chicks or Jane Fonda.

This guy just said something that was outright stupid. 2018, people should have realized that going to a plantation themed party was kind of tasteless.

The real fault is in not screening your contestants better. It's not a good look to have a racist contestant when you have your first black Bachelor on the show.
This guy just said something that was outright stupid.

You don't comment when Biden does that 10 times an hour.

The voters said no to Trump. Twice. Three times if you count the mid-terms.

Antebellum means the SOUTH before the Civil War, the whole period where they glorified the Plantation system. That's the thing. People are now starting to realize that "lifestyle" was built on slavery and exploitation and racism. That's why going to a plantation party is about as dumb as dressing up like a Nazi for "fun".

They Nazis took a country that was defeated and broke and brought it to the edge of world domination... um, yeah. That's pretty competent.
