‘Authoritarianism’ May Be Necessary to Fight Climate Change, Cambridge Study Argues

He wasn't a professor. He did not even rule by a constitution. He was more like trump, preferring to rule by edict with nobody running for office or voting against him. He had a Parliament, but he only allowed them to meet for 3 hours after he came to power, so he didn't need no stinking congress either, except to rubber stamp him in power. See? Pretty much the trump plan.

Huh? Brandon has more EOs in less than a year than any POTUS in memory.

This has always been the endgame for the elites. The phony climate crisis has always been about power.

A recent study published in American Political Science Review, a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal published by Cambridge University, begins with a teasing question: “Is authoritarian power ever legitimate?”
For many, the answer is clearly no, concedes the study’s author—Ross Mittiga, an assistant professor of political theory at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. But Mittiga, in the abstract to the study, suggests otherwise:

We live in a world made of mirrors within mirrors within mirrors. A world of countless deceptive pseudo-realities competes for the attention of our every waking moment. Technically, we all of us were born into and under a full-blown authoritarian governing system. Think about it for a moment. All the rules and laws of our society, all the regulations and red tape are pressed down upon us under threat of force if we dare disobey. What this article romanticizes is a world where existing authoritarianism is simply unmasked, laid bare for all naked eyes to weep at the sight of. As Ronnie James Dio once sang, "Beneath the velvet lies, there's a truth as hard as steel." Ronnie knew his shit. Time is high we did as well.

Excalibur? You disagreed with my post, but did not say what you disagreed with. Pol Pot was not a professor. He ruled by edict. He did not follow a constitution. He did not believe in open elections. His Parliament (if allowed to meet) was only for rubber-stamping what he did. What is there to disagree with? If donny looks similar in his choices for a national government, you should take it up with donny, not disagree with me with an emoticon if you are unwilling to say what you disagree with.

How many have been unconstitutional and thrown out by the court, compared to trump?

I've been saying all along letting crime go nuts, letting BLM and antifa be domestic terrorists, scaring people with covid, letting illegals flood into our country, saying white people are all racist and our system is racist, creating a shitty school system, creating shortages and creating inflation, climate change scare hoax and so on.

If the government can scare or anger enough people and create situations bad enough eventually they will create a opportunity where they can say "ok this is really bad but we are is here to take control with our newly announced government branch that will handle everything for you and make it all good again. Don't worry we're here to protect you" and a lot of people will just go with it willingly.

Look at how quickly so many people just obeyed masks and vaccines without even questioning anything. I was shocked at how easily so a large part of America just obeyed so quickly without thinking and still does today.

The best is how the useful idiotic sheep on the left will totally agree with him as they bang away on their little iPhone or Galaxy whatever.

I am sure their air-conditioned house is nice and pleasant as they chide down from their homes behind gated walls guarded by armed guards.

But...

Coyote lives in a cabin in the woods....with what appears to be good wifi. Huh

Anyway, I am sure the left totally agrees with him. No, not the ones on the left that actually live in totalitarian regimes. They HAVE TO AGREE OR ELSE, hence the reason they are so desperate to escape.

Ahhhh, but the left here living with everything the free market has given them, along with their rights they couldn't care less about (until they are gone.)

This is where the left think they are doing something about the so called man made warming cause they despise America's Constitutional Republic well enough and they are all good enough socialists. That, to them is them "doing something."

Well no fucking shit. Everything those shit stains propose is authoritarian.

Just like the socialists to think that taking people's rights away is actually for the benefit of it's people.

Republicans in Congress had ample opportunities to pass Trump agendas that they and Progs supported over the years.

What is it, you wanted to see passed that didn't pass? Or are just trying to justify, Donny on his Jan 6 insurrection?
