Not until last year they weren't. They had to fight to get them.So let me get this straight....the city had been allowing ONLY Christian displays. When forced to actually follow the 1st Ammendment and allow all religious beliefs, they did so, and have now decided that because they don't want a particular viewpoint to be allowed to be expressed, they have cancelled all displays.
And your objection is that should specifically endorse and allow only Christian beliefs? Really?

I didn't see anything about "splitting" into 18 groups, and it's not clear how the division of and assignment of space was made. It was a dick move to ask for the space and not use it, but that can be solved in other ways than not allowing any displays at all.But the haters splintered into 18 groups and left the space vacant just so no one else could use it.
I agree that hate triumphed, but it was hate as in "Christian only, or not at all."They prefer ugly to festive. They won. Hate triumphed.
