Shortly after an apparent shooting at Trump’s rally that injured the former president, Donald Trump Jr. posted a photo to X depicting his father pumping his fist while surrounded by Secret Service, with a caption that read, “He'll never stop fighting to Save America.”

Trump Jr. joined politicians and pundits across the country in decrying the incident on social media.

Ruben Gallego, a top Democratic Senate candidate in Arizona, called the apparent shooting “absolutely horrible.”

“Political violence should never be tolerated,” he told The New York Times.

Three contenders for Trump’s pick for vice president — Marco Rubio, J.D. Vance and Doug Burgum — reportedly sent prayers and sympathy on social media.

Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) suggested on X (without evidence) that “Biden sent the orders” to hurt Trump.
