The home of the United States Vice-President JD Vance has been attacked with windows pictured smashed up.

Secret service agents rushed to his Cincinnati home in the early hours of Monday and it is reported that a person has been taken into custody. It is not clear at this stage where Vance was at the time of the incident although he was known to have been in Florida last Friday where he met with Donald Trump.

Police and secret service agents were seen inside the property in the early hours of Monday with several windows broken but it is not believed that Vance or his family were at home at the time of the attack. Police confirmed to local outlet WCPO that a person had been detained but didn't say if they had been charged with an offence.

His family is from Jackson, KY. I was born and raised in Louisville KY which is in the north centarl part of the state, but my entire family is from about 30 miles north of the Tennessee border. I now live 5 miles south of the Kentucky border in Tennessee in an area that commutes to the Nashville area. My daughter works in Franklin south of Nashville. She did work in Spring Hill, even further south.

Who is William DeFoor? Suspect held after breaking windows at JD Vance's Ohio home

William DeFoor, 26, was arrested by Cincinnati police after vandalizing Vice President JD Vance's home in Hyde Park.

William DeFoor, 26, from Hyde Park has been arrested in relation to the damage inflicted at the Vice President's home, as per an arrest report acquired by WLWT.

DeFoor was allegedly seen by a Secret Service agent and on security footage entering Vance's property without authorization, causing damage to four windows and a car.

Charges against William DeFoor​

DeFoor faces charges of criminal damaging/endangering, obstructing official business, and criminal trespass, all classified as misdemeanors, along with one count of vandalism, which is categorized as a fifth-degree felony, WLWT reported.

Born in northern Ohio myself (Athens area), family are all from the Columbus, Chillicothe, Cincinnati, Dayton areas. I spent summers in Chillicothe but grew up in Texas and California, Now I'm in South Carolina until I can get back to New Mexico.

I've always liked the area.
