Except they're not. We know now that gay children who's bigoted parents tried to force them into conversion therapy only exacerbated the feelings of depression and suicide in their own children. You compare that to parents like the Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union who have embraced their trans daughter Zaya and you can see the difference in a loving caring family and the broken home bigots leave in their wake.
