As an existential necessity, the GOP needs to eviscerate higher education.

Becoming a Dr is less about studying and far more about the practical knowledge.

Attending medical school is not a guarantee that one will be a competent doctor.
So you're ok with your doctor never having gone to medical school performing surgery on you?

Blacks, as a group, are the least educated segment of the population and vote overwhelmingly Democrat. Interestingly enough, those who reject the Democrat party tend to be the most intelligent and well-educated.

So you're ok with your doctor never having gone to medical school performing surgery on you

Surgery is a skill that is perfected through practice. Simply graduating medical school in no way make a person a good surgeon.

Could you never go to medical school but study under a surgeon and then be able to perform surgeries you were trained to do?

You're ok with someone operating on you with no medical degree. Wow. ok.
So you'll let some guy fresh out of medical school cut you open just because he went to medical school? What if he had no surgical experience whatsoever? You don't get surgical experience until you're a resident

Wow.

FYI medical school does not make competent clinical doctors; internship and residency or as they used to call it , apprenticeship, does.

An "educated" person is not a PARROT.

A PARROT is the lowest form of human intellect outside of being in a coma.

What is taught in schools today is PARROTED BULLSHIT.

A PARROT is someone who believes Co2 is warming Earth but cannot explain a map of the Arctic...

A parrot, like a mindless animal that repeats itself over and over and over?

I’m personally looking forward to rising seas.

Well, that puts you in stark contrast with homO and big Mike, who aren't worried at all that Martha's Vineyard's beachfront will experience any sea level rise at all.

Indeed, homO has a history. Prior to 2010 the Co2 fraud was the greatest threat to humanity. Then two years of SILENCE...

And then, miraculously in 2012, it was once again homO's greatest existential threat to humanity.

And then homO and big Mike bought BEACHFRONT PROPERTY on Martha's Vineyard, last hit by Cat 5 gusts in 1938, the last time a Cat 5 has gotten that far north despite your bullshit "warming oceans" claim...

So, as usual, if you parrot left wing BULLSHIT, you get exposed as a COMPLETE MORON....

Democracy is demographic destiny.

... In state after state, fast-growing, traditionally liberal college counties... are flexing their muscles, generating higher turnout and ever greater Democratic margins. They’ve already played a pivotal role in turning several red states blue — and they could play an equally decisive role in key swing states next year...

Name the flagship university — Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, among others — and the story tends to be the same. If the surrounding county was a reliable source of Democratic votes in the past, it’s a landslide county now...

The American Communities Project... designates 171 independent cities and counties as “college towns.” In a combined social science/journalism effort based at the Michigan State University School of Journalism, the ACP uses three dozen different demographic and economic variables in its analysis such as population density, employment, bachelor’s degrees, household income, percent enrolled in college, rate of religious adherence and racial and ethnic composition.

Of those 171 places, 38 have flipped from red to blue since the 2000 presidential election. Just seven flipped... from blue to red, and typically by smaller margins. Democrats grew their percentage point margins in 117 counties, while 54 counties grew redder. By raw votes, the difference was just as stark: The counties that grew bluer increased their margins by an average of 16,253, while Republicans increased their margins by an average of 4,063...

Many populous urban counties that are home to large universities don’t even make the ACP’s “college towns” list because their economic and demographic profiles differentiate them from more traditional college counties. Among the missing are places like the University of Texas’ Travis County, where the Democratic margin of victory grew by 290,000 votes since 2000, and the University of New Mexico’s Bernalillo County, where the margin grew by 73,000 votes. The University of Minnesota’s Hennepin County has become bluer by 245,000 votes...
There’s no single factor driving the college town trend. In some places, it’s an influx of left-leaning, highly educated newcomers, drawn to growing, cutting-edge industries advanced by university research or the vibrant quality of life. In others, it’s rising levels of student engagement on growing campuses. Often, it’s a combination of both.

What’s clear is that these places are altering the political calculus across the national map. Combine university counties with heavily Democratic big cities and increasingly blue suburbs, and pretty soon you have a state that’s out of the Republican Party’s reach...

None of this has gone unnoticed by the GOP, which is responding
in ways that reach beyond traditional tensions between conservative lawmakers and liberal universities — such as targeting students’ voting rights, creating additional barriers to voter access or redrawing maps to dilute or limit the power of college communities. But there are limits to what those efforts can accomplish. They aren’t geared toward growing the GOP vote, merely toward suppressing Democratic totals.

“The data sure seem to suggest younger voters are leaning much more Democratic in recent years and, perhaps more concerning for the Republicans, the GOP seems to be struggling more broadly with college-educated voters. In the longer term, that may mean these voters may stay Democratic — or at least stay Democratic longer than they might otherwise,” says Dante Chinni, director of the ACP. “In addition, polls show Republicans are increasingly distrustful of higher education institutions. That probably doesn’t help in the longer term either.”

Some of the science deniers' crackpot notions are extremely amusing.

Florida beachgoers have been blamed for pissing in the ocean and raising the temperature!

Florida's Record Hot Ocean Temperatures Cause Early Coral Bleaching

DeSantis boasts that "white" is thriving under his regime.

LOL!!!!

Funny, all this ocean "warming" and the strongest ever decade for canes is still the 1940s.

Any explanation, GENIUS????

The coral fraud was exposed 20 years ago. They can bleach coral by squirting bleach on coral. Raising ocean temps 20+ F doesn't bleach coral, and you do not have ANY ocean warming....

As for warming oceans, the hurricane truth is what exposes the Co2 fraud for what it really is, 100% complete BULLSHIT.

And how does one get that without getting a medical degree?
You don't even seem to know that merely graduating from medical school is not enough for anyone to practice medicine on their own do you?

Without the apprenticeship known as residency no medical school graduate can be an attending physician who practices on their own.

So knowing that what if a person took all the course work offered in medical school at a different university and then also got his apprenticeship would he n your opinion not be a medical doctor?

I find it funny to read 5 pages complaining about higher education from people who were not customers of higher education. Where do you think all the elite conservatives were educated? They are simply educated enough by US Universities to know how to manipulate you dummies.

You didn't answer the question. Can you get that without a medical degree?

It doesn't matter.

Graduating from med school does not qualify you to be a physician.

You are arguing semantics but the fact IS when you graduate you are officially a physician... but granted no one wants to be operated on by a 1 day old medicals school graduate. Competency is gained. My kid is starting his 4th year as a med student and I dont call him for medical advice.

But you cannot treat patients by yourself until you finish your apprenticeship. Most times at least 1 year of residency must be completed for anyone to practice general medicine as an attending physician.

The fact is anyone can get the coursework done at any college because it is the apprenticeship that really teaches people how to be physicians

That’s like saying you are not a cop on day 1 after you complete the academy, get hired, and clock in. You’re a cop, just like you are a physician…. You just are not competent at your job yet to be left alone… like almost every job people are hired into.
