this is a debate we need to have!

How do you 'teach love' of country?

Many republicans seem to believe that merely teaching this country's *actual* history erodes patriotism.

So what are you suggesting we teach instead?
when did republicans say that???
Their panty shitting hysterics regarding the 1619 project? The watered down version of history taught in textbooks approved by conservative states, where slaves were referred to as 'immigrants'?

Would republicans be opposed to high school aged kids doing a deep dive into the first hand accounts of actual former slaves? Or would that be 'propaganda'?
the 1619 project has been well proven to be made up bullshit,,,
Proven by whom?

And all of it? It emphasizes *actual* accounts of *actual* slaves and the men (and occasionally women) that owned them.

Yet if *any* of that is taught to kids, Republicans melt down. Demonstrating my point elegantly.

It's kind of hard to love a country whose government is so fucked up and basically doesn't give a shit what the people want.

“The preferences of the average American appear to have only a minuscule, near-zero, statistically non-significant impact upon public policy.”

Does every 'reputable scholar' have names?

And ALL of it? Every last bit of it? Every single quote from every single slave, every account of slave owners, all of it.....is 'proven wrong'?

If not, then why would your ilk object to ANY of it being taught in schools? Wouldn't your criticisms be limited to the incorrect parts?

Laughing.....translation: you can't actually back up your claims that the entire 1619 project has been 'proven wrong'.

And yet your ilk still hysterically demand that NONE of it ever be taught to any kid. Not any account of slaves at their treatment, not any account by slave owners on what they did to their 'property'. None of it.

Thank you for demonstrating my point beautifully.

Since this last election, I plan on being an American flag wearer.

I'm going to drape it all over my body going forward.

I started w/an American pen that I bought at the NYC gift shop in Times Square on Monday morning before I left.

I'm planning on getting American undies, bed sheets, pillow cases, flags for my car, the whole nine.

God Bless President Elect Joe Biden and Vice President Elect Kamala Harris and God bless America.
Because you’re a fair weather scumbag.
Did America not have slavery once, now that Biden is president?

Too late. He was yelling and part of the problem attacking a president who was doing well by the American People.

$6000 more per year for the average citizen after 3 years under Trump compared to a few hundred after 8 years of Obama/Biden. As I say, you break it, you buy it. He wanted to pretend he didn't see this coming? Guy is worth many millions, of course he didn't see it.

China has been crushing the West, lead by the most feckless "experts" and Establishment over the last 30 years. Either fully incompetent, compromised, or, unconcerned for the plight of their nation long-term.
Where did you get this BS from?

How Biden's presidency could affect the economy

Household incomes grew more slowly in a majority of states under Trump – even before COVID-19

JESSICA GOODHEART AND DANNY FEINGOLD | CAPITAL & MAIN | 9:00 am EDT October 26, 2020

Even before the U.S. economy was slammed by a pandemic, the typical American household’s income grew at a slower pace in more than half of the states under Donald Trump than in the years leading up to his presidency, according to a new Capital & Main analysis of U.S. Census data.

The Constitution is a piece of paper.

It cannot care

it was the people who wrote the Constitution that were concerned for the People. We know the authors of the Constitution didn't care that people were enslaved in this country as well. People had to change that.

But we know now that those who are supposed to uphold the Constitution for the good of the people do not care what the people want.

And they can still not care all while not violating the rules set forth in the Constitution.
