"Green" ammo? That's the dumbest sh*t I ever heard! Guns are designed to kill people not be "eco-friendly". Unless it shoots better than the existing 5.56 ammo, I see no need for it.

I thought the 155 mm shell was "green." It vaporizes the enemy into little bite size bits for Bambi and the other forest animals to feast on.

Interesting post. Wonder if anyone has information on cost and performance differences. I agree that is what matters. If the cost and performancd are the same, may as well use the modern more friendly ammo.
