Not really. The nullification of EPA wood stove regulations is a good model for how it's done. Some states, particularly states like Minnesota whose citizens would be hurt the most by the EPA's draconian restrictions on wood stoves, passed their own laws prohibiting the enforcement of the new wood stove regulations. Some were blunt in saying, "Let the EPA enforce it if they want to" knowing full well the EPA relies heavily on unqualified compliance with their unconstitutional edicts and doesn't actually have an enforcement arm. It seems you pothead Leftists understand the simple concept of nullification when it comes to legalizing pot and gay butt sex, but don't appreciate this cunning resistance mechanism when it comes to forms of tyranny you approve of.

We need a return to states rights. When the founding fathers wrote the constitution they never envisioned a federal govt like we have today that places itself above the states. They meant for feds to exist alongside and maybe a little below the states. Like the european union is now.

Arizona Passes Two Bills Aimed At Blocking Federal Laws

House Bill 2368, introduced by Republican Representative Bob Thorpe of Flagstaff, Arizona, was passed this Wednesday by the Arizona House. House Bill 2368 seeks to bar the state of Arizona from funding any executive orders issued by President Obama, or policy directives issued by the Department of Justice.

According to the Arizona State Legislature website, the bill includes the following provisions:

"1. Prohibits this state or any of its political subdivisions from using any personnel or financial resources to enforce, administer or cooperate with an executive order issued by the President of the U.S. that has not been affirmed by a vote of Congress and signed into law as prescribed by the U.S. Constitution.

2. Prohibits this state or any of its political subdivisions from using any personnel or financial resources to enforce, administer or cooperate with a policy directive issued by the U.S. DOJ to law enforcement agencies in this state that has not been affirmed by a vote of Congress and signed into law as prescribed by the U.S. Constitution."

If the bill becomes a law, Arizona would essentially be independent of federal laws.

No it doesn't you nitwit. The supremacy clause says "This constitution and all laws, MADE IN PURSUANCE THEREOF, shall be the supreme law of the land". The constitution also says only congress can write laws and so when the president does so, the law is not made in pursuance of the constitution and can be nullified by any state. THINK

I believe the State of Arizona should claim they are unwilling to be burdened with unfunded federal "mandates" unless the general government agrees to pay the Debts of any of the several United States establishing federal Standards for the Union.
