The letter says the county has yet to provide chain of custody documentation, bags storing the ballots were not sealed, batch dividers are missing, and ballot boxes were sealed with regular tape rather than tamper evident seals.

The issue of passwords for the machines is irrelevant. The passwords are unnecessary to the function of the election. The router is irrelevant. The router has no information on it necessary to audit the outcome of the election. The audit found some files that didn’t have the right number of ballots. Some were short by a couple. Some were long by a couple. In an election with 2.1 million votes, that’s to be expected unless you think human error is no longer a thing. They say that it is “suggested” a database was deleted. The word suggested is often dropped from conservative media coverage of this. They don’t even say what this database is or what it’s for. I don’t know myself.

I’d wait for the response from the county board. So far they’ve put up with a lot of false smears from the auditors. A good journalist wouldn’t post a one sided story.
