I do not have that Honour. I am very proud to be an Aussie though.

Greg

You should be. Your 24th Engineers invented a new MOS in Viet Nam: Tunnel Rat. I'm amazed they could get those giant balls down those little holes.

What do you know about Democracy? Not that I trust the International Democracy Index to the letter (I no longer do) but the last time I checked, your nation was lower down the scale than mine. The fact that you call American Democracy "flawed" I can assue you are familar with the Index.
Which is your nation? Mine (NZ) scores 9.61 in the '24 report, for whatever that's worth. Are you Norwegian? That's the only one I see listed higher. I find it hard to imagine Chump has many admirers there but I suppose it takes all kinds.

How many MAGA supporters have you asked?
No need to ask, it's constantly volunteered. Have you really not seen the posts on this forum? Not to mention Chump's constant championing of Russia.

lol you live out in the middle of nowhere. no wonder you're ignorant of life elsewhere. But soon your Maori feral racists will get up a genocide there, so keep your rifle handy. But as a commie you probably can't wait for it to happen.

What point? You asserted we had nothing anyone could want.

Unlike the US politicians begging for NZ SAS for Afhganistan. So you know nothing of the rest of the world, like all MAGAts. Your points are pointless.

Stuff

The US has asked for New Zealand's Special Air Service combat soldiers to be sent to Afghanistan, Foreign Minister Murray McCully confirmed today.

But you are MAGAt. It is to be expected.

The natives were doing a lousy job cleaning the toilets.

But don't get the idea I thought the SAS should be deployed there. Or the rest of the troops for that matter. It wasn't our country and it hadn't asked.

I could see NZ rationales and didn't like them at all. The government wanted to snivel to the US and the armed forces wanted the practise.

I'm not at all proud of that.

Thankful but not proud.

Pride is an emotion that should be reserved for personal accomplishments and not for winning a birthing lottery.
You are free to move some where else if not happy with your "birthing lottery".
(And likely won't be missed much. ;) )

I'm amazed that the things Americans could take fair pride in haven't been mentioned much at all.

USAID

NIH

CDC

Oh. Right...

Are you saying Russia is not a favourite of MAGAts?
What is your real question? Come on, spit it out. You know your absurd ideas are on the tip of your tongue. So, go ahead ….. put it on display.

I am not here for a competition in one-upmanship but if my nation has slipped since the last time I looked then I most likely will agree with it. My nation has gone down the tubes and no longer deserves “first place” as it once did. There it is.
I find it hard to imagine Chump has many admirers there .....
No, he doesn't. Hardly the point. But (yes, I am going to say 'but') my country has become a US cum EU minion. Our news is simply the EU verbatim albeit translated. Our media has no more worth than a discarded dish-rag so naturally Trump has no admirers at all over here, excepting the immigrant population where admiration for him soars. Let the Yanks elect a woman or a poofter (second best) and my countrymen will be dancing in High Street to dawn. Regarding Russia as the good guy and Ukraine the bad guy doesn’t make Russia “the Trump-supporting favourite”. Are you aware there are nearly 200 nations in the world?
No need to ask, it's constantly volunteered. Have you really not seen the posts on this forum?
You are making conclusions based upon posts in USMB? Tsk, tsk.

Not to mention Chump's constant championing of Russia.
Again, championing Russia against Ukraine, NATO, and the EU might very well be an indication of pro-Democratic principles. Personally? I stand by that myself.

Poll Shows Drastic Political Split in National Pride

National pride has gone down with young people overall. It has gone down with Democrats overall.
When asked if they were "extremely" or "very proud," 92 percent of Republicans said this.
Democrats? Only 36 percent.

If not, is there a country you would rather be in?

Are You Proud to Be an American? New Poll Shows Drastic Political Split in National Pride
Between the lines it illustrates the depth of historical ignorance on the part of many in this country (and the world).

When trying to imagine the World without a USA there are so many forks in the road over the past two and a half centuries it can be boggling. But I'm fairly certain given what the major powers were like in 1775, and the projections from there, it's highly probable this world and it's people, would be a lot worse off than it is.

Without the War of Independence/American Revolution, there likely would never have been a revolution in France, or the example and incentive for many other nations to change their government style to let citizens have more say, and/or more freedom and liberty.

Without American(USA) examples and innovations in inventions, industry, commerce, global trade, culture, etc. it's highly likely the world would be more provincial, authoritarian, and as much as a century behind in technology.

Many nations that enjoy higher standards of living and freedoms would be further down the ladder in those attributes, if those nations even existed.

Without a USA it's likely we wouldn't have this internet and about half of those here who aren't from/in the USA wouldn't have the freedoms to be on the internet or say what's on their minds.

250 years ago, what would become the United States of America broke the mold of past national structures, governments, and the constraints on human freedoms and liberty. The USA made a major shift in destiny on this planet and allowed many other lands and peoples to follow in those footsteps.

Unfortunately many today don't realize or understand the paradigm shift that started in April 1775, nor appreciate how they benefit from a greatly changed past trends through these 250 years that have given them a better quality of life that what would have been predicted had the old status quo not been changed via the actions of some upstart colonies/colonials.

You're not even a blip in history. You lead the world for 70 years. The Roman Empire stood for 1,000 years. The British Empire started in the late 1500's and still exists today.

You are NOT the only nation in the world willing to put your lives on the line for what you believe in, not by a long shot.

Why must those who disagree with YOU, get out? Why don't you go live in any other authoritarian dictatorship in the world, and leave the USA to those who choose democracy?

Lots of nations have "a line waiting to get in". All of the world's first world nations have similar lines.
A bit more than "70 years" and we led the world out of the "horse and buggy" tech to global jet airplane travel, landing on the Moon, the internet- which you are using, ended two world wars started by our European "betters", given more foreign aid than the rest of the world combined, etc., etc., etc., .....

We've done more in those "70 years" ~actually more like 250~ than the Roman or British Empire.
The USA broke the mold of stagnant civilization of the past 6,000 years and brought the World into a modern age of improving technology and growing wealth.

And you're crying like a little *****. Probably because we usually rate much higher on life quality surveys than the US, which has to pretend a big army makes them great and gives them something to be proud about.

Wasted effort, really. You could just boast about your prison population. Hands down winner there.

edit...By the bye, check out the gratitude for NZ troops who died for the US in Afghanistan. Exactly what was expected.
Check out YOUR non-gratitude for the Americans who died 80+ years ago to save your Kiwi nation from having to learn Japanese as your new national language.

And you're welcome on the use of our internet and GPS, etc.

No, Russia is the Chump supporters' favourite. Just read this message board.

And then you complain about the fleas.

The Japanese had no plans to invade NZ after the US had provoked it to war with an economic blockade. It wanted to isolate Australia.

Apart from that, NZ spent blood and treasure for years in pitched battles

to save you from the fascists before Japan's attack and Germany's declaration made you put down your cash registers.

I thank Al Gore for the internet, a great American.

I can use a map and compass.

I thank the UK for the radar that keeps us safe at airports.
