Are you one of the 97 million Americans that work for or depend on the Federal Government? You are now "up a creek".

I often have to wait months to see a doctor (due to the low amount of doctors there and high amount of veterans) and now I will have to wait even longer as there will be less doctors/nurses/personnel.
More BS from the resident liar. I suppose you've never heard of "Care in the Community?" If your VA facility makes you wait for more than 30 days, you can go to any provider in the civilian community that you desire and the VA will pay for it. Maybe you should quit trying to impress the board with your BS and educate yourself.

I and everyone else (75% of the population) that has some positives that come from the government, we certainly will feel the effect of Trump.
Please link to the source of your 75% statistic. As for the rest, the constitution does not provide for the government to give personal attention to each and every American. That is NOT the COMMON GOOD.

Well, that is not a bad thing for the 25% that don't need or use the Federal services.

Now, I'm not expecting you to be a mathematical genius. But, even a degree in The Literature of Lesbians of Color would have a minimal math requirement. In a previous post, you claim:

"That is 1/4th of all Americans who would be affected in some way with the Federal work force being cut down."

And then you go on to say that only 25% of Americans don't need or use Federal services.

The difference between 100% and 25% is 75% of Americans who don't need or use Federal services, not 25% or 1/4.

Do you see how that works?

As for the 25% who do ... what services are the receiving and why? What choices have they made in their lives that mean that for the rest of their lives, they will need taxpayers to pay their way in order to survive?

I don't think his elevator goes all the way to the top.

You are right and I am wrong on the percentages. I appreciate you making me aware of it. My mistake.

Services include everything from social security, Medicare, child services, food stamps, etc.

There are a total of 95 million Americans that depend on the Federal government for help. That is 1/4th of all Americans who would be affected in some way with the Federal work force being cut down.

It is a government spending-cuts thing, which is intended to solve some of the over-spending that is being done, but like everything that Trump does, it is an extreme solution that is highly likely to cause more problems that it solves. In addition, it is "My way or the highway" thinking that does not involve anyone other than Republicans for the decision being made.

Not only is it "over the top and extreme", but it is a dictator's approach to taking total power.

Our democracy is at risk of being lost.

You really need to pace yourself with the Chicken Little "THE SKY IS FALLING" schtick. I mean it is pretty funny but I'm starting to feel bad for you. Get it together Banker.

Reminder the schizos refer to socialism as "our democracy" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, let's abandon those who can no longer carry their own weight and make sure that the rich can do their thing without worrying about having to pay more taxes.

We do need to be thoughtful of them...................poor things, they are so needy of more.
I will never abandon you, Lucky!

Yep. I use one of those community providers. She's just two blocks from my house, too. Much, much closer than the VA..

I'm glad to see you're finally thinking straight.

Welcome to sanity.

Well, I have a strong hunch Trump is going to hatch a Universal Health Care plan during this term.

I think that's precisely why he assigned RFK to the HHS position.

Trump has been advocating for UHC for decades. It's even in one of his books.

When he said he was going to repeal and replace Obamacare, I'm pretty sure he was thinking of UHC, bur realized the mushrooms weren't ready for that yet.

The are snow o enraptured to him at this point, he's going to pull the pin, I think..

Our democracy is at risk of being lost.
He is making the resignations binding without anything binding his part of the deal
Usually the loudest detractors of the government are those who depend on it the most.
Don't take the bait Federal workers. He'll stiff you like a contractor.
Here's a sub-Reddit page being used by Federal workers to communicate and report what's happening:

All the reports we heard before Inauguration Day were correct: They are literally getting rid of anyone who is not obedient to The Fuhrer and replacing them with obedient servants. Whether they are qualified or not. If they can't fill the position based on that, the position no longer exists.

Think of it as MAGA DEI.

The Federal workforce is a bloated mess
You should live within an hour of DC, and see all the government “workers” exploiting the scam. They out in a few hours of work a day, and spend the rest of the day running errands, taking walks or going to the gym, lying around the pool (in the summer), going to the shopping mall (it is packed at Tyson’s Corner, every weekday), and even getting in a round of golf.

And until a couple of weeks ago, they would LAUGH about it.

P.S. I know someone who was bitching about having to go into the office one day a week and had the nerve to try to get ALL five days at home by claiming that she was in her 60s and “too old to commute.”

Fire a couple hundred thousand Federal employees and let them pick fruit and scrub bathrooms for the elites.

The elite lefties love the illegals as their SLAVES.

That is all the illegals are to the left. 21ST CENTURY SLAVES.
Scrub bathrooms? Are you aware that federal workers in DC “volunteered” to go down to the border to keep the detention facilities for illegals clean? They mopped the floors, served food, did the laundry, etc., etc.

I know someone who did that. She said she was “volunteering” to provide the maid service down there, but she was continuing to draw her $180,000 a year salary, and also put up in a hotel with a food per-diem!

Wouldn’t it be better for the taxpayers to have the illegals do their own laundry instead of us paying a government worker $180,000 plus living expenses to do it?

Our democracy is at risk of being lost.

What's amusing about that statement is that the growth of the Federal Government is actually one of the biggest threats that our democracy has. When the Public Sector becomes as large as the Private Sector (which provides the funding for Government) then they will be more and more inclined to vote themselves more pay and better benefits, something that the Private Sector becomes less and less able to resist. That isn't an indictment of either Party because both have played the game. As a result our Government has become bloated and inefficient. We've reached a tipping point. We can do the sensible thing and cut the waste or we can continue to let it worsen.
