Are you one of the 97 million Americans that work for or depend on the Federal Government? You are now "up a creek".

It's ridiculous that government workers are kept on do nothing jobs just so they won't be unemployed. It's like another welfare program.

There are a total of 95 million Americans that depend on the Federal government for help. That is 1/4th of all Americans who would be affected in some way with the Federal work force being cut down.

It is a government spending-cuts thing, which is intended to solve some of the over-spending that is being done, but like everything that Trump does, it is an extreme solution that is highly likely to cause more problems that it solves. In addition, it is "My way or the highway" thinking that does not involve anyone other than Republicans for the decision being made.

Not only is it "over the top and extreme", but it is a dictator's approach to taking total power.

Our democracy is at risk of being lost.

Yeah sure, a dictator. I worked in govt. and private, and one man hour in private is 100 in public, and the public sector will do it wrong anyway.

So there's LOTS of fat to trim. Why is doing the right things a problem for you?

Did you read the OP?

Do you understand the meaning of the word "EXTREME"

Which job is pointless or not necessary? You didn't specify, you just went with feelz. Tell you what, justify paying someone to teach clowns how to tie animal balloons. Justify paying someone to research whether popping bubble wrap reduces stress. Justify paying someone to make sure ice cubes are the same size.

If the job you're doing is worthless or something the nation doesn't really need when we have trillions in the national debt, why are you getting paid?

Good question
Why wouldn’t you identify the functions that are worthless before you cut out the people who perform essential services?

They're not, they're identifying the UNNECESSARY jobs now and dropping them. Tell us, what essential people have been cut so far in the TRUMP! administration?

When programs exist to teach clowns how to tie balloon animals, it's easy to identify waste and inefficiency.

Way past the saturation point.
Cut 15% immediately.

As was so popular when coal miners were being told coal was not going to be viable, “ let them learn to code”

More than one quarter of the US population is working in government.

That's not sustainable.

That IS one of the tactics of cloward-piven though, to collapse the system.

Marxists have to destroy everything. They are sick in the head.

97 million federal employees? How is that possible?
Work for or depend on
About 3 million work for
Another 3 million are contracted employees

The rest depend on the federal government……Defense contractors, infrastructure jobs, agriculture, education, military….

They make zero contributions to the IRS.

The OP was all about the extremes that Trump takes and not about the issue itself. Of course, cutting spending should be done but where and how much is the question.

Here is a chart for you to study

Defense spending is almost half of the spending being done. How come Trump is not considering cutting the defense budget one cent, but everything else is to be cut!

Now that is ridiculous, especially when this

The U.S. Spends More on Its Military Than the Next 10 Countries …

Why are we not considering cutting military spending? Answer me that and we will continue the debate.

Are these the same government workers that Trump praised so highly in the aftermath of the recent plane crash?
