In the end it's a positive influence. The beef industry knew as early as 1989 their future was in jeopardy. Studies as early as 2006 confirmed it. In general Americans consume far too much of it to be healthy. Change is good.

The inflation rate is shifted 0.7% up due to tariffs, which is far less than the 1.3% - 2.3 that they expected for tariffs and as the short term effect lessens we will be in better shape. Plus the government made more money from the tariffs. If they would apply it to debt that would be ideal but we all know government isn’t interested in paying down debt. After years of much higher inflation than this, this is a win win, inflation will slow and we reap the money from tariffs. There are also tariff deals that have other countries investing in US production and support which also strengthens our economy.

So my facts are real, consistent and true.

Trump is taxing American Consumers, and somehow that's OK, even though conservative (R) have fought that for years.

I’m not a Republican, I am looking at it as a way to level the playing field for US companies. It seems to be working and I. The long run it is good for America, 0.7% inflation because of tariffs is acceptable.

We have taxes no matter what and we need more taxes at this point to pay down debt, but we know that won’t happen.
