Did Obama do ANYTHING as bad as the Bush Patriot Act? Other than continuing on with it?

Obama pushing the ACA above, over, and in place of recognizing inherent rights and beliefs under the Constitution
did as much harm as Bush to divide the nation and destroy faith in the integrity of Govt, Congress and our democratic system.

Bush's policies may have cost more in terms of tax dollars,
but Obama's policies cost more in terms of individual liberties and faith in govt
he and other Democrats have even "yet to be acknowledged as lost."

That is the most dangerous part. Not even recognizing one's
political bias, but being so assured that one's way is the right way
for the whole nation that you justify any means of passing and imposing it as the law.

They don't even count the opposing citizens as having valid rights or grievances under law,
but dismiss any criticism as "merely political."

If you want to say that Bush was equal or worse,
then the two "do not cancel out" but constitute DOUBLE the damage to the public interest and govt integrity.

So one is NOT an excuse or justification for the other.
Two wrongs do not make a right.
