Damn, you need to share what you are smoking. The economy will be in great shape? How the hell you get that? The big stumbling block concerning the budget bill is those enhanced Obamacare premiums. Many Republicans worry that eliminating them, which is the current proposal, will result in those health insurance premiums on the exchange becoming unaffordable for millions of Americans. The backlash could be intense. Ain't that ironic.
I mean what the hell does the Republican party have to run on? Inflation, uh no. Increased employment, uh, no again. Ending the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine. A big fat no. The left is a bunch of commie killers, yep, that seems to be about right. Investigation after investigation after investigation, boy howdy, I know that is why I send people to Congress, to "investigate", legislate--ah, **** that shit. Crime is exploding, uh, no it is not. But damn, you got nothing else to run on.
I mean it is comical really. Are you better off now than before Trump took office? Uh no, the vast majority of Americans are going to answer in the negative. The Republican response. We control the House, we control the Senate, we control the Executive office, and we control the SCOTUS. It is the Democrats fault. WTF? How the hell does that make sense.
Here is what we see. We see the radical ends of both parties. You Trumpnuts on the right who trip over yourselves supporting a damn clown show. And the progressive radicals on the left. I mean damn, how hard is it to condemn the murder of Charlie Kirk? It was wrong, and yes, it probably will empower the Turning Point Christian Nationalist movement, hell yeah, I want to be first in line to kick that perps sorry ******* ass. It was just stupid.
And yes, the Democrat party approval ratings are hitting record lows. But like I said, you are on one fringe and looking at the other fringe. The middle, the independents, they are running away from leaning right and increasingly leaning left. That doesn't bode well for the Republican party. And let me give you my prediction for the economy.
The Fed will cut interest rates, in the face of declining employment numbers and under pressure from the administration, they will cave and lower interest rates. Not ******* good. That will throw gasoline on the fire that is tariff induced inflation and severely lower the value of the dollar, great for exporters, not so good for financing the debt or increasing manufacturing jobs. Those foreign provided inputs are going to become prohibitively expensive. Hell, better to pay the tariffs of foreign produced finished goods.
Thanksgiving won't be all that bad, at least I don't think so. Beef prices will pretty much price themselves out of the market, and most the turkeys on the market were slaughtered last year, that is how it works. I have seen a huge shift from beef to chicken and pork, actually catching most retailers by surprise. And seafood has been somewhat resistant to those tariffs, but they are coming. At least a six month lag time on seafood outside of fresh caught.
But then we roll into December. I see understocked shelves, shortages of goods, and traditional Christmas gifts, inflation is going to really hit them hard. From baby dolls as Trump famously explained, to pajamas and sweaters. It ain't going to be pretty. And before Santa even starts stocking his sleigh, those health insurance premiums for next year are going to come rolling in. For parents, this just might be the worse Christmas in two generations.
So, the people are ******* pissed. Inflation and supply chain issues ruining Christmas. Exponentially exploding health insurance premiums sucking the wind out of any Christmas spending budget. And then tax time rolls around. Those Trump tax breaks, no taxes on tips, no taxes on overtime, no taxes on Social Security, they all turn out to be total bullshit. The caps, the limits, people still end up paying taxes on tips, taxes on overtime, taxes on Social Security. I mean talk about pissed off. All those cuts were nuanced, I am here to tell you, the working man or woman, they don't do nuance.
So Republicans will be running from one crisis to another. A murder in this blue city here, an illegal immigrant arrested here, and of course, some transgender dude in a woman's restroom. I figure they double down on that proven technique. For instance, inflation has climbed, employment has dropped the Democrats will say. Republicans will counter, yeah, but the female high school one hundred yard dash in Rhode Island was won by a transitioning transgender something or other. Let's focus on what is important. And besides, illegal immigrants are eating our family pets.
