Are we witnessing a new wave of puritanism in the Americas?

I have been noticing more than other that Conservatives are trying to ban stuff like books in libraries, Arizona's state candidate wants to ban condoms, nationally.
Another Senator is proposing to forbid non married couples to access birth control.
Did we just discover a time machine and suddenly went back to the 1800's?

Better buckle up. We conservatives are aiming more for a ninth Crusade than puny puritanism. All heretics beware . . .

I wonder if it's time for metal to return.

Not metal about how life sucks or partying.

But metal that gives the middle finger to either religion or the establishment.

I’m afraid you are completely out of touch.

Fentanyl is widely available: Impeach Biden for Letting Chinese-Funded Cartels Kill Americans

Gambling is widely available. Many families are consequently ruined.

Pornography is widely available on the internet, even to children.

You don’t have your facts straight: Fact Check-Sen. Marsha Blackburn did not call to limit contraception only to married couples

And liberal elites love censorship more than anyone:

Finally in the 1800s governments were often puny and permissive.

Some of the issues listed in your post were actually still active clear into the early 70's. Until the Comstock law was ruled to be unconstitutional the sale, purchase & possession of rubbers alone had a bazillion laws for one to be able to sell &/or purchase them. Pharmacists actually had to purchase a 'prophylactic license' from the state he/she was employed within to sell rubbers(called rubber prophylactics back then), & the rubbers were actually kept behind the pharmacy counter out of sight(by law) to the general public. Blue laws, also called Sunday laws back then restricted not only rubbers but also alcohol, adult books/porno stores, mail order adult toys(federal offense!), sodomy, alternative lifestyles & an endless list of other sins.

I agree with parents rights in what they prefer their minor offspring to or not to be exposed to & what age the parents allow that exposure to occur at. As far as book/online site bans, alternative lifestyle persecution, sexual preference between consenting adults etc. I say keep g'ment & other power & control zealots out of it. I actually seen with my own eyes what those wannabee power & control zealots were doing back in the sixties to other Americans they were trying to exert power & control over, & it was just as ugly as todays power & control zealots attempting to force other Americans to both accept & support their personal agenda(s). The use of coercion in it's many forms is NEVER acceptable in a society built upon the foundation of truth, justice & individual Liberties in the pursuit of happiness.

Time to break out the scarlet letters!

Conservatives even have suggested burning books.

You know how else burned books? Hitler and the nazis.

This is really looking like a march towards totarianism with what Conservatives are suggesting.
The corporate media and government bureaucrats work tirelessly to degrade and divide the American people. Some citizens object to paying for all this boring propaganda and you criticize them?

More like batshit crazy. Have you paid any attention to this freak's other postings? An admitted faggot, into the “plushy” sexual fetishes, and in other various ways quite clearly fucked up, both mentally and morally.

Its effort here, to try to spin protecting children from sexual grooming and abuse as some form of tyrannical censorship, is not at all surprising, given it's already-established character.

Articles i read state that plushophilia may not be as uncommon as you think.

And didn't Freud say that the only unusual sexual behavior was to have none at all. And after that, it was only a matter of opportunity and preference?

And what society has deemed normal has often changed in the past, like at one time in society it was deemed that the world was flat and if you sailed too far, you would fall off the earth.

But thanks for reminding me that what society deems as normal never changes.

You see what i did there?

Most of us really do not want to hear about this perverted shit.

Isn't there some plushy/faggot/tranny/pedophile forum out there you can frequent, where you can dump this shit instead of here?

Come on lefties, you really aren't going to play the puritan card because you think kindergarten kids should be taught about drag queens? That isn't puritanism, it's safeguarding and protecting our kids from from sexual predators. You almost gotta laugh that left wingers whine about book bans in grammar school while democrat controlled social media bans free speech and the doddering old fool in the W.H. authorized something they called the "disinformation bureau".

it certainly seems like we are moving backwards

Like Jerry Sandusky or Dennis Hasert?
