A few points for whitefish:
1. I don't have a day job. My money is busy making more money in a week than you make in a month, and all I have to do is work on my tan and maybe play some golf if I'm inthemood.
2. Of COURSE Massachusetts is dominated by democrats. The fact that they picked an apparently moderate republican governor means nothing... Especially when they didn't vote for him again, and, back then, he was so liberal, he championed RomneyCare. The fact that they picked Scott Brown to fill the rest of Teddy's term was an anomaly. They booted him at the end of that partial term and voted for Liz Warren instead.
The Governor is a democrat
Both US Senators are democrats
All nine Congressmen are democrats
The Democratic balance of power in the MA state senate is 36-4
The Democratic balance of power in the MA state house is 127-30
That is the picture of domination. Republicans in Massachusetts are either an afterthought or a joke.
3. Your predictions about the 2016 race are pretty laughable. Please know that that is all you have: biased predictions with NADA to back them up. I have yet to hear you give us any viable names of potential republican candidates so we can see what polling today shows about them in head to head match ups with Hillary.
You don't know nearly as much about politics as you think you do. Really.
you are a funny dude. I too do not have a day job and just sit back and watch my money grow, as to who makes more, I would venture a guess that my portfolio exceeds yours by several zeros, but who really cares, sounds like we both did pretty well in the world of work and are now enjoying the fruits of our labors.
your attempts at juvenile insults make me wonder if you are really what you claim to be, but lying on an internet message board is quite common. most successful people outgrow that kind of foolishness.
I am not sure what point you are trying to make about Mass, but yes, the dems dominate that state. are you saying that is a good or bad thing? Republicans dominate my state, except for our silly senator Mary Landrieu and she will not be back after the next election. Do I think its good that the GOP dominates? not really. I am more interested in what the people stand for than what letter is behind their name.Mary's brother is mayor of New Orleans and is doing a very good job.
the earlier discussion on whether one party rule would be good or bad at the national level is totally different from a state discussion. without an opposition party the president could become a defacto dictator with a compliant congress to endorse his every wish.
personally I think that would not be good. If you do, then I guess we will just have to disagree.
