If it's to be diploma mills that give white folks their ticket to the middle class, then yes, you might have a point.

But if their purpose is to encourage scholarship, then they should be admitting the best and brightest from around the world.

Given that universities are increasingly about the bottom line, it actually makes more fiscal sense to attract foreign students.

Now, if you want to go to a system where college is free to everyone and the government pays for it, I'm 100% for that.

Intellectually speaking, why should we be giving any foreign aid? You throw around the 1 percent and sounds like you want US to pay more. Let’s see your economic case to justify it. HINT: trying to minimize current levels of foreign aid as small percentages is not going to help your case.

No dope, it isn’t that Americans are too stupid it is that the highest tech, most successful countries in the world need the best people in the world, not just the US. It stands to reason that with the US only have 4-5% of the world population, that many of the “best” may not be American. I can guarantee you that the more than 5% of the employees at Google, Microsoft, Tesla, etc. are Americans.

Not only is merit suddenly not a factor (I guess it only mattered when it came to Blacks getting into college) but it’s now about just specific ethnic groups from other countries getting into college even if they have better academic credentials than your poor Whites struggling to get into college (not poor Blacks, Hispanics or any other group).

These institutions have been getting a fortune from rich Muslim countries, and they have an agenda. THAT is why there are so many Arab students and professors - and so much anti-semitism.

They get a foreign funding from a variety of countries and while UAE provides the most, other countries such as Norway and Switzerland provide some also. In the end, these are private institutions and the countries providing those funds are not our enemies.

As to your claim of “so many” Arab students and faculty, the number is not that large.

Look at Harvard.

The acceptance rate at Harvard for students is under 4% (not much higher than US students at 3.7%. Their demographic comes from over 200 countries.

In terms of numbers the largest number are UK, followed by Canada, Japan, India, Australia, China, France. Singapore, South Korea, Mexico, Israel, Switzerland and South Africa follow with roughly similar numbers. In fact, Harvard accepts more students from Israel than Arab countries. There are no Arab countries sending enough students to make a statistical splash. In terms of faculty, 14% are non-US.

Is merit now an ethnic and racially based measurement?

Why are you on the side of foreign Muslims rather than American Jewish students who are now being bullied and assaulted by atmosphere the Arabs have enabled?
