(COMMENT)Why is it that people cannot answer a freaking question around here....You've never seen a map, boy?In what way are the borders indefensible?
Always a question with a question...
(COMMENT)Where was Israel's land? What were its borders?
When did Israel declare the resolution 181 proposed to be its international borders?P F Tinmore, et al,
At the opening of hostilities, the territory agreed upon by the Jewish Agency and the UN Palestine Commission, was that approved by the General Assembly was outlined in Resolution 181(II), and Annex "A".
(COMMENT)Where was Israel's land? What were its borders?
However the military invasion of the Arab League Armies changed the borders. And the Forward Edge of the Battle Area (FEBA) became the 1949 Armistice Lines. Subsequent wars further adjusted the Armistice Lines to the new resulting FEBA.
There were no borders prior to the Arab-Israeli Conflict except that designated as the Territory to with the Mandate of Palestine applied; and the quasi-border for the Article 25 territory for Jordan.

(COMMENT)When did Israel declare the resolution 181 proposed to be its international borders?
When did the UN transfer that land to Israel?
Then where did Israel get the land it sits on?P F Tinmore, et al,
Over and Over again.
(COMMENT)When did Israel declare the resolution 181 proposed to be its international borders?
When did the UN transfer that land to Israel?
The UN doesn't transfer land. They are not a Real-Estate Agency.
- ISSUED PROCLAMATION DECLARING FOLLOWING “ON NOVEMBER 29 1947 GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF UNITED NATIONS ADOPTED RESOLUTION FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF INDEPENDENT JEWISH STATE IN PALESTINE
The Jewish Agency coordinated their exercise of the "right to self-determination" with the UN Palestine Commission, after having completed the "Step Preparatory to Independence IAW the Resolution passed by the General Assembly; and Article 76b of the UN Charter:
b. to promote the political, economic, social, and educational advancement of the inhabitants of the trust territories, and their progressive development towards self-government or independence as may be appropriate to the particular circumstances of each territory and its peoples and the freely expressed wishes of the peoples concerned, and as may be provided by the terms of each trusteeship agreement;

(COMMENT)Then where did Israel get the land it sits on?
A legitimate state needs a defined territory.P F Tinmore, et al,
It is a combination of the territory under which the resolution was declared, the first Armistice was concluded, and the line on which the 1967 war ended.
(COMMENT)Then where did Israel get the land it sits on?
What is your point?

Got a link?
Nice deflection.P F Tinmore, et al,
Did I mention "Jerusalem?" No, I don't think so.
(COMMENT)Including taking over the UN run international city of Jerusalem?
Got a link?
Jerusalem has its own legend and history:
- 1948: The Jewish army takes control of western Jerusalem, as well as a corridor from the coastal regions. Jordan occupies the eastern parts with all the holy places.
- 1950: West Jerusalem is declared capital of Israel. East Jerusalem becomes part of Jordan, when the West Bank is annexed.
- 1967 June: Israel occupies all of Jerusalem as well as all land on the western side of Jordan river.
- 1980: The undivided Jerusalem is declared the eternal capital of Israel. This is received with protests from an entire international community, which with only 2 exceptions move embassies to Tel Aviv.
- 1981: The Old City of Jerusalem is designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- 1993 September: With the Oslo Agreement the future political status of Jerusalem is defined as a debatable issue.

Political recognition doesn't mean anything.P F Tinmore, et al,

Affirms its determination to contribute to the achievement of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and the attainment of a peaceful settlement in the Middle East that ends the occupation that began in 1967 and fulfils the vision of two States: an independent, sovereign, democratic, contiguous and viable State of Palestine living side by side in peace and security with Israel on the basis of the pre-1967 borders;
Affirms the need to enable the Palestinian people to exercise their sovereignty over their territory occupied since 1967;
PLO Negotiations Affairs Department (NAD) Key Facts
- The 1967 border is the internationally-recognized border between Israel and the oPt.
- A basic principle of international law is that no state may acquire territory by force. Israel has no valid claim to any part of the territory it occupied in 1967.
- The international community does not recognize Israeli sovereignty over any part of the oPt, including East Jerusalem.
Borders:(COMMENT)
- Israel has no valid claim to any part of the West Bank or Gaza Strip. However, in the interest of peace, we have been willing to discuss minor, equitable, and mutually-agreed territorial exchanges should we decide that it is in our interest to do so.
I suppose that this is close.
An "A"-to-"B" subtraction if the territory, less Palestine, must be an indication when including the two treaties and the two outstanding Armistice arrangements.

Based on bullshit. It is not a border.
