I agree, the Iranian regime has not been weakened enough yet to walk away from and not just have it all come back full force again within a few months or years. Therefore, to pull out too early over simple political pressure will have been to have wasted the entire venture, once again just kicked a can down the street a short time.

I'm actually worried Trump will let the regime stay in power. It will take Iran years to recover from where they are now but if Democrats take back the government Iran will have recovered enough that they can start working on nukes and ballistic missiles about the time democrats might take back control and then democrats will want to negotiate with Iran again and do nothing until Iran sends nukes on their ballistic missiles to the US and by the time we realize that Iran is an "imminent" threat, the nukes will already be on their way here.
