The Holocaust happened in the Christian West, not the Islamic Middle East. The Crusades were a Christian thing. One of the worst acts of antisemitic violence - the Rhineland massacre - happened during the time of the Crusades.

There's really no comparable record of such anti-Jewish violence happening in the Islamic world.

So much wrong here. The term developed as a word for a nationality which had constituents from many tribe though primarily Judah, Benjamin and Levi. The kingdom was "the kingdom of Judah" but no one is labeled as a Jew.

If you are stuck on anachronistic names then the other kingdom of Israel was populated with Israelis, proving ancient Israelis were in control of the land.

I understand why European Jews wanted their own homeland. The persecutions they endured were real and lasted for more than a thousand years.

Thirdly, you do not ask enough questions. Maybe it's true that Jews had nowhere to go. Then the question becomes, if they truly came from nowhere, how did they even arise as a people? Back in those days, everybody needed to have land, in order to live. There were no factories. Either you raised livestock or grew crops, or you hunted and gathered. You get my point. It is literally impossible to have no land, and still manage to have a people. They must, they MUST, have come from somewhere, and they must have had land.
