I disagree. New Yorkers voted for him, not the Democratic Party. They want an affordable city. The state-run grocery stores will be a huge help. People don't want to be held hostage for their food. They get nickel and dimed daily on city services, especially mass transit. Bill de Blasio made some improvements, but Adams is a disaster, and NYC doesn't want another Republican executive like Bloomberg.

Mamdani will do great. That's what all the panic is about.

With New York City already spending millions of dollars to subsidize private grocery store operators (which are not even required to take SNAP/WIC!), we should redirect public money to a real “public option.”
