Trump is a reaction to the inability of the Republican party to delivery on it's promises and goals.
To an extent.
But to a much greater extent Trump is a reaction to the institutional corruption and incompetence of the democratic - socialist party, particularly under Obama.
Hillary was a part of this corrupt administration, and brought her own legendary corruption to any already lawless situation.
If Trump supporters' motivation was just to defeat Clinton, they certain wouldn't have flocked to Trump. When he began his campaign polls showed he was about the least likely candidate to defeat Clinton. Even today, Clinton leads Trump in major polls.
If Trump's campaign was a reaction to Hillary, he would not have build his campaign around being politically incorrect, a renegade who attacks the party leadership. He would not.have adopted positions on immigration and terrorism that his party doesn't support. No, Trump popularity among Republicans has little to do with Hillary and a lot to do with the dissatisfaction with the leadership of the party.
What Trump represents is the "anti-Obama."
Trump is (or at least appears to be) everything that Obama is not.
Trump is patriotic in contrast to the contempt Obama has for America. Trump seeks to protect the nation from invasion by a foreign nation, where Obama seeks to end the concept of nation states in favor of the one world socialist vision. Trump is strong in dealing with others, where Obama is weak and effeminate. Trump is masculine, where Obama is a gay man flouncing about. Trump is bold and decisive, where Obama is petulant and pouting.
Trump is the perfect "cure" to the bad case of Obamunism that has infected the nation. He will end all the symptoms that the corrupt little weenie inflicted on us.
BUT, he will be a crappy president, because there is no foundation beliefs in him. He simply does the opposite of Obama.
