Anyone else sick of "speaking truth to power"?

Ever since Obama, everyone in the DNC wants to be clear.

Let me be clear, I am far more sick of THAT phrase.

Whenever I hear that my mind processes it as “listen to this bullshit”.

Ironic, since the origins of that phrase is Christian.

🤔

11 Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”

". . . If you have authority on this earth you are entrusted with securing the least of these among us. How you used your authority will be judged on that basis by Christ. Often the law isn’t moral and the people aren’t moral and ask for immoral things to be done in their name.

The one holding authority must recall their eternal Judge and not allow injustice to befall the least by their hands. Impoverished people, immigrants, the sick, and those in prison are the ones typically most harmed by government edict. They are also the ones most ignored by the generally public. . . "

"Speaking truth to power" is an old phrase that came from the civil rights movement. It means that you're supposed to speak some kind of "truth" to the powers that be, in order to somehow enlighten them.

Unfortunately, many black folks took that as literally meaning to get all sassy to the police when they get pulled over, invariably resulting in them having their asses kicked, being tased or pepper sprayed, or getting a knee to the neck.[1]

Beale, are you a scriptorian and theologian?

The Crazy Left Wingers crave victimhood.
In Democrat ideology White people, straight men and Christians are the worlds oppressors, and everyone else is their victim.
Have some sympathy, it's not their fault; God put their brains in backwards. 🤷‍♂️

I guess I spend too much time watching lefties whine.

That is never a good thing to do as all they do is whine.
I prefer to spend my time wreaking vengeance on them for all their sedition against America.
Just think, take away the far left and the democrat party and suddenly, the USA is 500 years into the future and 1500% better off.
Literally EVERYTHING, every problem we face today is BECAUSE OF THEM.
I hope Trump whips them mercilessly like the low down dirty dogs that they are.

Actually, my pet peeve right now is the word "wheelhouse." Suddenly, everything is now in or out of someone's wheelhouse of experience.
I bet 99% of those using the term, don't even know what a wheelhouse is.

Before that, the popular jargon was "comport." Everything comported with something else.
And before that, the popular phrase was "confluence." Everything was at the confluence of something else!

"Speaking truth to power"
Agreed.

And they were all CHRISTIAN.

What truth? Divine Truth.

To whom? THOSE IN POWER.

It is what it is.
