Running. Easy to do works better than any medication. Start slow work up. You'll notice a drop after 2 weeks. I'm 93. My resting heart rate is 59. I run a 3k per day.
I got the results of the tests on my heart and everything was normal. Good news for a change. I still have COPD and CKD, a bad hip and spinal stenosis. The “Golden Years” are not quite as good as advertised for me but am still enjoying retirement.I'm not athletic but my resting heart rate has always been below 50, usually 46-48. Now, at 82, it's in the low 50's.
Friends and I used to 'compete' for lowest heart rate (at this restaurant that had a measuring machine thingy). I always won, and my friends were never above 60 bpm (none of us were overweight).
