After I'm done Basic Training I'm getting stationed in Georgia... I've never been there, so has anybody here? If so, what's it like?

Ft. Stewart wasn't TOO bad (better than Ft. Riley was in my book!). Being close to Savannah and the coast made it more bearable. The alligators and mosquitos will drive ya nuts though!gop_jeff said:I've been to Ft. Stewart and Ft. McPherson. GA is hot and humid, but I enjoyed my times there.

I'm in Georgia...we only have 5 Army posts...if your going to be an MP you'll be at Ft. Gordon for training (that's where it used to be anyway), which is just outside Augusta. Not a bad location.kancer43 said:unit supply specialist.. and the people who u turn your guns into...

LOL...she's not "in" yet, she'll learn soon you never to call your "weapon" a "gun".. :teeth:archangel said:"Your pistol is to kill" at least that is what they taught me at "basicTraining"...maybe there is a change in modern military tactics...lol
Don't take me wrong here I just have a dry sense of humor and pull from experience...even though I may be at a disadvantage over the years....! :funnyface
really? Everyone at MEPS called it a gun... whoops... Well I've already enlisted, signed the papers, and swore in... I just can't wait to go to BCT.. I've been waiting for this for 13 years...Mr. P said:LOL...she's not "in" yet, she'll learn soon you never to call your "weapon" a "gun".. :teeth:

do you have some sort of ridiculous ambition to deride everything that I post? Please take your insolence elsewhere and stop assuming... If you read my previous posts before responding with nonsense... You would read that I wrote about when I used to play military with my Barbie dolls... how old was I when I played with barbies? 5... I grew up in a military family... this was normal for me and something that I always wanted to do... If anything should be in question it should be your motives to disparage eberything that I post...Mr. P said:Let's see, that would have made you...ahhhhh 5, right..Okay..

unfortunately only two because of a change in residence... and since two out of three were quite deriding I think that is enough...Mr. P said:I've read all you have posted...and this is only my third post..hardly deriding everything that you post. How many years of JROTC did you have?
Only two? Gee, if you would have just done three...too bad..kancer43 said:unfortunately only two because of a change in residence... and since two out of three were quite deriding I think that is enough...
