The 70 year-old-woman was walking her dog when this savage comes upon her and stabs her 16 times. She died.

When asked, the savage said he knew he killed her - and that she was Jewish.

I have said this before and I mean it, I have received unusual visceral reactions from multiple people when I believe they looked at my cross and see the Star of David in the middle of it. I cannot prove it, but I am a good judge of personality and the change in tone after they looked at my neck was palpable. I have thought of the situation you raise and I admit, as much as I believe I am courageous and principled, I absolutely understand why someone would not openly wear identifiable Jewish symbolism. It is really sad, even angering, however, ones safety considerations must come first.
