These random murders have become far too commonplace. We cannot ignore them but also must not be overwhelmed or we will never settle the mind. Mental issues and evil are in too many corners. May she R.I.P.

This is why we’ve been warned not to wear obvious signs of being Jewish when we’re walking in public.

I have said this before and I mean it, I have received unusual visceral reactions from multiple people when I believe they looked at my cross and see the Star of David in the middle of it. I cannot prove it, but I am a good judge of personality and the change in tone after they looked at my neck was palpable. I have thought of the situation you raise and I admit, as much as I believe I am courageous and principled, I absolutely understand why someone would not openly wear identifiable Jewish symbolism. It is really sad, even angering, however, ones safety considerations must come first.
